Newish Legion player here. I had my core set from when Legion first came out, but it honestly didn't see much play simply because we were more involved with a huge Imperial Assault campaign. Fast-forward to now. I picked up Sabine Wren simply because she is my favorite character from Rebels, and now I am even more excited to see that Clan Wren is coming soon. From my limited knowledge and experience of the game I know that some troop packs are great to have multiples of, but some of the more specialized units might be better off as a one-of. Does anyone know yet if Clan Wren would be a good set to field 2x boxes of? Or are they too expensive pointswise or something?

Additionally open to any other build advice around Sabine and Clan Wren if anyone has some good tips.

I always work off of rule of cool, if you think it looks cool, do it! The Mandalorians look pretty decent and running two boxes with two regular squads and clan wren doesn't seem like a terrible idea, especially if you're also bringing sabine along too.

I would normally agree with Atromix, but these named squads (clan wren and inferno) don't seem to need extras. I'd look at the box. I think you can get 2 full squads out of one box and they're going to be more than100pts a squad when you put an upgrade or two on them. Put Sabine and a commander in your army and that's over half your army. You'll want to save room for some troops and maybe some support units as well.

I'd say you'd find it hard for a mando unit and clan wren, however 2 mando units are doable in my opinion.

I'm debating on heavy modding a second troop to look like the surviving Mandos from The Mandalorian.

I dont think you need more than one box because you can actually run two mando units with one box. unlike inferno squad...

although the workaround for inferno squad is to buy another iden versio and use one of her alternate poses as the 8th inferno squad model.

i suppose you could also do the same thing with sabine wren or boba fett if you wanted to run two regular mando units with one box.

Cheaper to use one of your comms officers from the specialist packs with the extra Iden helmet or i made one out of a scout trooper( we all should have tons of those laying around)

While you can run two mando squads out of the box you cant run both with heavies as you need 8 figures so to do that you need two boxes, although that also gives you the option of running 3

I have two of each. I think running 1 Clan Wren and 1 Mando unit is very doable, a second Mando unit to go along maybe, but you'll need to run vets and machine guns to get your activations up.

Naked troopers are the cheapest activation they can get outside of R2.

120 fully loaded clan wren

130 Sabine

50 R2

640 for 8 activations

160 for a commander, maybe another rebel troops squad for 10 acts

It's 35 for R2D2 and 15 more if you add C3PO.
