Rebel AAAAX... Could be good...Right?!

Just got my fourth RZ1 despite my magic 8 ball telling me I was an idiot to do it. Immediately started on this list and I'm feeling like it'd be super fun. I would totally be willing to lose those two Phoenixes if it means Arvel, Jake, or Thane laid a hurting on some people. What's everyone think???

I would drop lone wolf to crack shot on Jake, and upgrade Thane to Wedge. With five ships lone wolf will be hard to trigger and for roughly the same cost in this list Wedge is better all around.

Edit to add: I like Thane but shooting first in this list his ability will have a tough time triggering and he will likely be dead by the time he gets a chance to use it.

Yep. Wedge >>>> Thane. It'd be worth cutting talents from Jake to get there. Swarm Tactics doesn't really float my boat either, but you do you.

Wouldn't the Swarm Tactics allow one of the A wings to take a shot before him? Looking at it now I agree it would be difficult to enact Thane's ability immediately though.

Actually to respond to both of you- I cut down Jake and upgraded to Wedge just to see. I didn't want to give Jake crack shot though. I'm really hoping to punch a hole through something with Wedge first, and then allow Jake to get a crit and hopefully at least two other hits with marksmanship.

Hind sight I do recognize that lone wolf would be tough to implement frequently.

If it's not meant to be a Hyperspace list, I would drop Arvel to a PSP and upgrade Jake to Proton Rockets. It feels like this list lacks a bit of punch, although with that amount of Intimidation flying around, you should shoot mostly 0-1 Agility enemies. Even the Focused 2 Dice can hurt then.

@Schanez That was pretty much the plan.

You did inspire me though to make a punchier list... doesn't have 4 A's (to my disappointment), but I think this packs a heavier hit. Any thoughts? Dropped two of the A's to get Corran... Could be a fun/fast way to really hammer a ship or two out in the first round.

Wedge with 4 I3 A-Wings: Marksmanship + Deadeye Shot combo.

Deadeye Shot (Talent): While you perform a primary attack, if the defender is in your ||, you may spend 1 Hit Result or change 1 Crit result to a Hit result. If you do, the defender exposes 1 of its damage cards.

Not ideal, but you could make the 2 Die more deadly this way, really crippling the enemy. Of course we have to wait an see how expensive the talent will be, but I don't expect anything higher than 3 points.
