3 (or more) copies of Strange Solution ? (Mild Spoiller)

By Bloodycaesar, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

Hello !

The rules states that you can't have more then 2 cards with the same name. I just wanted to make sure that it applies to Strange solution since there is 4 kinds (Unidentified, Fist, Head, Feet)

I already upgraded 2 x Unidentified ones. I still have 5 exp so my process was to put 1 x Unidentified Solution (1 XP) and upgrade it again to another Feet potion (4 XP) for a total of 3 in my deck.

Sadly I think I would be wrong in doing so but I just wanted to make sure.

Thank you lads !

All the "Strange Solutions" have the same name (just different subtitles which doesn't count as distinguishing the card), so you get 2 total.

Yeah. The rulebook mentions that: main part of the name only, subtitles don't count.

That can even lead to a few weird situations: There's now several versions of the Necronomicon: one's a seeker asset, one's Daisy Walker's Weakness, and one is a story asset in Dunwich. Meaing that if Daisy Walker finds the Necronomicon in Dunwich, she can't use the asset version, since she then already has two Necronomicons in her deck.
