In 1.0 I hated the K-Wing, hated bombs, hated TLT, hated Miranda's Regen, and hated Advance Slam. I don't even own a K-Wing, but about a month ago I watched Atredes just terrorize 5 CLT Jedi with a list he calls Bombs Away. I thought the list was genius. Perfect knowledge with Cassian to know for bomb drops, Informant helps as well depending on which ship you assign it too, and Barrage Rockets that provide a threat out the front. I picked his list up and just wouldn't lose with it. I did make a minor tweak and switched Bomblets for Protons. Bomblets do have the nice ability to reload faster, but Proton's providing that auto crit without rolling for it makes them more valuable.

View in Yet Another Squad Builder 2.0

I took this to Corellia since I had nothing but success with it. I went 4-0 and my fourth game was streamed live on Gold Squadron's Twitch feed. There was one thing I would have done differently in that game, I would have assigned a Tractor Token to Obi-Wan when he got hit with the first bomb to then bring him in range of the second bomb, I didn't hoping he'd still get caught by it and then tractor him to not move him. I wanted to keep him at range so my K-Wing could get out of there with some more health. However, my opponent made a great move to block Obi to not move after being ion'd and prevent him from taking the bomb the next turn. I should have saw that. Other then that it went well and squeezed out the win.

Round 5 & 6 I faced 6 Nantex and just got destroyed, these were also the first games in about 10-12 games before hand that I had lost. The first game I shouldn't had done my usual set up, because since he set up the joust I quickly realized his jousting potential and I knew it was going to be too difficult to get my ships out of there. Either way though I don't think I win this matchup. Round 6 I faced it again and had a much better set up, but still the potential to one round a K-Wing before it ever gets close to bombing is too great to overcome. I'm going to continue practicing against that matchup and see if I can make it winnable.

I love the K-wing and have been trying all sorts of set ups since the launch of 2.0 (loved it in 1.0 too though). I feel dumb for never realizing how great Cassian is on one. I just watched your game and you flew great! I was cheering you on as I watched! Im definitely trying out this set up soon.

I was wondering if there was a way to get more bombs in it such as doing 2 k-wings and 2 y-wings. Sounds great for damage and bombs, but I fear y-wings would not have the mobility that slam offers. have you tried tinkering with making it a 4 ship list? Also any advice on flying the current set up? Lastly what are some other K-wind builds you have tried tinkering with?

I haven’t tried any other variations yet, simply because I’m locked into the list for the Corona Renegades tourney. However, I’m considering running 4 K-Wings, 3 Wardens with Protons and Barrage, then Miranda with Sabine, Seismics, and Delayed Fuses. Miranda’s ability can be defensive when needed as well as having Seismics and Delayed fuses for running away to protect Sabine, or offensive.

I also was just on Fly Better’s stream Friday if you wanted to check it out.

What’s your thought about Miranda carrying the plasma torps? I’m questioning if it’s worth the points since you already have barrage. Those points could give the wardens additional seismic bombs or Miranda could go with advance proton torps to cover her blind spot

They’ve helped clearing shields on 1 agility high shielded ships like Deathrain and Arc’s, to then follow up with the protons. However, there’s lots of games where I never use them. Plasma’s and Informant I would take out to play with the points some. Informant isn’t too good since it’s triggers off opponents initiative, more than likely I’ll have to decide my bombs before I reveal their dial. It’s still good, but for my purpose it hasn’t been crucial.

I just watched that match and those bombs were incredible! I tried out this list for the first time Yesterday and once I got going it was great, but I definitely need more practice at setup and leading up to the first engagement. I usually fly one k-wing at a time so it was challenging knowing when to commit to the attack and how much damage I can turn into. During my match I was way too cautious and it ended up putting me behind early. I managed to pull out a win but just barely. I think what I should have done better was not be afraid of leveraging those range three barrage rockets to my advantage
