Does anyone here use jamming field?

I was trying to think of a good use for this and only came up with the idea that they would be helpful in taking the pressure off bombers until intel and escorts can show up to draw attention. Grit bombers in particular would become harder to stop since it already takes two enemy fighters to pin one.

Has anyone found a good use for these?

Jamming field, ATN, and Y-wings or TIE bombers. Your goal isn’t to kill the enemy squads, just tie them up for a while.

It's also interesting in a Sato fleet that leans heavily into wide area barrage to let you win the squad war.

Jamming field helps keep your stuff alive while wide area barrage let's you compensate for your own squads decrease in damage.

Sato is a good use where you just want to have some squadrons near the target ship and your Intel/Tycho staying alive, rather than winning the squadron war against 100+ points of squads.

Galcactic Republic may see a role for them. Delta-7s in a jamming field environment will be difficult to eliminate. Enemy squadrons loose a dice then you ask them to reroll their best result.

Gallant Haven, Jan, Biggs, Jamming Fields Ywings are great for not dying. Its just a refusal to engage with the squad fight, or a decent bombing winh if your opponent has no squads.

I might try that one some time. Does ATN help much? And throw in a few escorts to go with Biggs, I take it?

I think I had a YT1300 in their, Plus Toryn for flak.

Maybe ATN on Gallant.

Jamming field, Soontir and escorts work well.

I used a MJ Tel Howlrunner and 2 tie Int with an assault goz. agent kallus jamming field expaned hanger bay under montii. If you keep the goz near the ISD as support keeps the squads alive a LOT longer than you think. Kallus for Revva and then EHB to ANT is something I should try!
