Arrer Boys

By FellintoOblivion, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Battlefield. Action: Spend 2 resources to deal 1 damage to one target unit in any battlefield. Arrer Boys [sic] then take 1 damage.

So once you pay for the action and choose a target an effect that deals 1 damage to the target and 1 to Arrer Boyz is placed on the chain. The Boyz won't actually take the damage until the effects begin to resolve. Can you play Arrer Boyz action an infinite amount of times (assuming you can pay the costs an infinite amount of times).

Seems pretty strong.

There are two ways (I can think of) to not allow Arrer Boyz to use their ability an infinite amount of times:

One is to say that effects waiting to resolve on the chain do not exist independently of their source, essentially saying that a card that spawned an effect waiting to resolve must be in play when that effect tries to resolve.

This seems like a less then ideal solution.

The second way is to declare that when an effect resolves you do as much as you can.

On the surface this would seem to enable you to use Arrer Boyz ability an infinite amount of times however FFG could simply state that the two portions of Arrer Boyz effect are linked and unless both can be performed neither can while templating future cards with unlinked effects in a different manner.

Just random thoughts while awaiting a comprehensive rules document I guess.

Yeah, you can play the ability of the Boyz as many times as you have 2 resources to pay it, if you do all the activations in the same stack.

Can be handy but not gamebreaking by any means.
