That image still hurts. ๐ช
Best showcase of multiple Structural Damage draws.

why not?
To get a result like that pictured, there would have to be huge variances in speed, weight, or both. As is, itโs one object (Star Destroyer A) being slowly pushed into another like object (Star Destroyer B), with nothing stopping the second object from merely being displaced.

If you work with the space is soup analogy it makes sense. But I cant really be bothered to explain.

If dense as concrete, sure!

If you consider the ISD to be a solid block.
Which it isnt.

Physics isn't how Star Wars works, so it's all good
Big ships kinda move as if they were watercraft, small ships move kinda as they were aircraft. Nothing moves as though it were spacecraft. Everything is the battle of Midway; nothing is KSP.
Edit: "Space is soup" is pretty good. At least for the big ones.

I was thinking more on whatever is keeping the second ISD in place to allow cutting it instead of moving it.
If anyone can find evidence of a tugboat pushing one ship through another ship, Iโll concede my point. ๐
I love Star Wars. But true to physics it is not.

Evidence of a Rebel tractor beam.

Its not cutting, its ripping by applying forces along the weak direction of resistance along the side.
Why can you drive directly into a bollard slowly with no damage, but scrap along the side and your car is wrecked?

Are you referring to this?
If so, Iโm confused. The cruise ship does not go through the other ship. It displaces it. But perhaps youโre referring to another incident. Either way, my intent is not to bludgeon people over this. โ๏ธ
Edited by Rmcarrier1I did a actual ram two of my own ships together once to stop one of them flying of the board in the last round. Very pleasing all......my opponent was all happiness crowing thatโs never staying on......right up to the point I rammed the lot into an unmoving ball of ship grinding.
