I think Light Side might show up on some Light Side force users that aren't jedi. Only one I can think of now would be Rebel Leia. Wouldn't call her a jedi at that time period, but light side would fit.

If we are considering whether they were in the Jedi Order - Ezra, Luke, Leia and Rey immediately come to mind. Luke eventually founded another Jedi Order, but while he was a Rebel, he was just a light side user.

Since we know Sith is a keyword I think Jedi is viable, and is an option. Would there ever be a Jedi that isn't Light Side though?

I don't know, I think Luke would get it, "I am a Jedi, like my father before me" and all. Ezra maybe yes, maybe no, he was trained as a Padawan by a Jedi Knight (though he wasn't a Knight at the start of it). But he also broke away from some of that training with Maul.

Leia and Rey do actually feel like they sit outside of it, though. Leia trained with Luke, we know, but was sure ever really a part of the order/academy? Doesn't seem like it. Rey is the most obvious, at least as far as we've seen of her (though she maybe starts a new academy after TROS?).

Another one would be Maz Kanata, if she's ever in the game as a pilot.

Another thought, is Kylo Ren technically Sith or not? Same for Snoke if he was ever a pilot. While they were manipulated by the Sith lord, were either of them really Sith at all? Should Kylo also get the Jedi tag for training under Luke? If Luke was somehow a pilot in the Resistance faction, would he get the Jedi tag, then, if he doesn't have it in rebellion era?

The Visual Dictionary says she has a strong connection to the force, but only really says that she is good at sensing presences. So, force sensitive, but not adept by any means? There have been plenty of trained force adept that don't get light side attribution like Corran Horn and Kyle Katarn, so giving her one would be dubious.

It is clearly stated multiple times in reference materials that Ren, Snoke, and the Knights of Ren are not Sith. They embrace certain Sith teachings, but more out of opportunism than out of devotion to their cause (as would be the case for the Sith Eternal).

I doubt we get Luke as a pilot in Resistance, but he would get the Jedi title. If we got Ben he also would have the Jedi title.

An expansion pack for The resistance Faction in X-wing 2nd edition. The pack will feature 2 alternate T-70 models and 1 alternate RZ-2 model. Also somewhere in the card stack it is going to inspire hope about flying the resistance faction somehow.

You'll just miss the trigger for The Will to Win, as well, to which I would also shake my head. I swear Tallie has a blank ability to you, and Rose crew is only for offensive rolls (although you are getting better about remembering her on defense).

Rey rocking Stealth Device I think has you thinking about "Why do I have all these defensive dice?" so that helps for remembering Rose. If Will to Win is a must, I can actually remind you to do it, so it loses some value to me as entertainment.

That's fair, I think, yeah. I do wonder/hope we could see other versions of Corran and Kyle in a card pack with force charges and abilities but I doubt that's a high priority. Since we can get different versions of the same pilot in the same faction, would be nice to see.

There was a deleted scene in TFA where she used the force to collapse a hallway, something like that. Not canon but still interesting.

Once this Covid situation is over, perhaps meeting at a Con or something can be arranged. Really the whole St. Louis crew is worth hanging out with.

There was some talk about keywords for the VCX, and I was thinking Freighter could be one. It would be a good way to give ships like the YT's, VCX and so on their own little pool of upgrades that would be logical for that ship type. We know they're doing Tie as well as X and A wing, but I'm hoping that means they will also be classifying ships more broadly with other keywords like Bomber, Escort, or Shuttle that would have a lot of overlap between factions. Could be interesting, but we'll have to see how that shakes out.
