Veteran Instincts - World Champion vs World Champion. Including Wookiees, Rebel TIE Fighters and a TIE Punisher?!

By sweetsweetdoughnuts, in X-Wing

This week's episode of Veteran Instincts, brought to you by the 186th Squadron, has TWO World Champions, as we're joined by Oli Pocknell and Paul Heaver!

We see two new lists, with new points, and a variety of ships that you would never have seen on the table pre-points.

Can Oli's Aces overcome what the Fly Better Podcast described as two "terrible ships", even at their new points; the Auzituck and the Rebel TIE Fighter, or is the might of Heaver enough to drag these ships out of obscurity and into their rightful place in the meta?!

Find out, subscribe and comment here:

Champion vs Champion!

And stay tuned until the end to find out their quick thoughts on what is good post-points update!

Now this is stat racing!

Really cool! I like the flank/joust and engagage as stats

Does it make sense to count or dismiss turns where both lists had 0% engagement?

Is there a good way to factor points in? For example a points delta per round.

Another thing I tracked was total damage per total hp

I made this meme before, with timo after the spacejam, but posted it somewhere else, so here is the new version of it:

I haven't watched the video yet, is it worth my time? :P

No World Champions this week, but after we inadvertently launched the "World's Most Evil List" last time, Episode 17 of Veteran Instincts drops... right now... with Australian National Champion Michael O'Connor returning to face off against Australian Ben Lorking.

We have a pretty unusual First Order list against a solid Scum list; Click the link to find out what they fly, and what you can learn from their game and analysis in this Fly Casual outing.
