It may be a bit difficult to keep track on what ability she has at the moment, if not writing down all the time - or you could place a cone or coin on the ability on the other characters cards to see what abilty is in play.

I figured that people would devise their own mechanics for keeping track of which abilities are being copied.

I feel that the person playing the Doppelganger would remember regardless, its for other peoples benefits to mark them I guess.

Yes that is a very interesting character ability. It would definatley need quite a few sessions of playing to see how valid it is a character. As well as trying to keep track of the stolen abilities.

A neat way around this may be.

"You may copy a character's special ability for the cost of one gold (use this gold to mark the ability) Once the ability is no longer in use discard the gold."
