Hey all,
I spent some time reading and I could not find these answers. I'm sure these questions have been asked before.
Q1: The Assassin character - His ability to assassinate. Does this mean monsters never get to roll their die to add to their strength or craft? Is there any reason why the Assassin would not use this ability?
His card seems pretty clear and I believe this is the case. Does anyone think this makes the Assassin over powered? Myself, I'm not sure what I think on this.
Q2: Lucky Charm Object - This says to chose your die roll instead of rolling. Does a single die roll mean one physical die? Or does it mean you can chose the roll for all dice that you are rolling (ie your dice pool). For example, I landed on the temple where you have to roll two dice to determine the outcome. With the lucky charm can I chose my roll for both dice or just one of them?
Q3: Weapons and Combat - A player had a magic sword that said if you defeat a monster you take the monster card and you also gain a fate token. They also had the poison dagger (I think that's what it was called). The dagger says if you roll a 1... something happens (I forget what, some bonus option).
But here's the question. Can the player chose which weapon to use after their roll or do they have to declare what weapon they are using before the roll? The issue is, if they can chose after the player would chose the dagger if they rolled a 1 or the sword if they rolled something higher.
I think you can chose after the roll unless the card says other wise. These weapons did not state anything about before combat roll.
I also think you can chose because if you can't some one would likely never chose the dagger (in this example) because of the odds of rolling a 1 are much worse than something helpful for the sword making the dagger pretty worthless. (Keep in mind this only applies if the dagger is not your only weapon).
I hope I explained this clearly enough!
TIA!
