Where is all the talk about the stream?

Are they able to take both? Because ****, that would be an amazing option for 50 points!

Well they both say B1s can ignore the Gear icon requirement so...I don't see why not?

Just went back and listened to the tease. They said highly recommend characters so I figure the usual suspects there.

As for the surprise they say "nobody brought up", is canon, and "it is there". So some random vehicle or unit is my guess that pops up at least in one of the movies.

Spending 50 points to provide an aim and a dodge for two actions seems like a waste to me. That’s basically a throw away unit in a lot of games. There are definitely missions that it would be viable, but I don’t think many.

So prettydisappointing reveal overall

Yeah? What exactly were you expecting?

Got a command card that will pair great with my saber tank and couldn't be happier with all the cool stuff coming out. Excited to see what the cheap clone commander can do for my tank list.

Personally, I think the Tactical Droid is pretty sweet, especially with B2s.

I would have liked a mechanical explanation of the style master abilities. I suppose I'll have to wait until closer to November.

Something for the other 2 factions

That was already known to not be happening though if you happened to watch/read the synopsis of the other streams. All of the prior "in depth" streams only focused on what was shown in the In Flight report initially as far as I heard at least.

-Anakin is 15 points less than Obi-wan, but all his command cards have Permanent.
-Clone Medic and Engineer are armed, but only can heal one point. Have new keywords.
-Clone support all have Phase 1 and 2 options.
-Maul has 3 poses.
-Maul attacks with 8 dice!! "Juyo Mastery" Same cost as Anakin.
-Maul's second 1 pip command card replaces a 3 pip.
-Sith Probe Droid has new Observation token.
-Separatists Command Droids
- Viper Droid gets Observation tokens and is not a non-combatant.
-55 points for both faction's generic commander
-Specialist sets release January 2021 -Maul and Anakin release November 2020.
-Next 4 units released will be Imperial and Rebel. 2 "Highly requested characters" Darth Maul news
-jo yo mastery "in rage channeled into saber skill/combat
-"Maul is a sneaky boy" -double bladed lightsaber rolls 8 dice and is 1 attack not 2 like grievous
-"Maul has versatile play, a sense of flowing in combat"
-maul cost 160 points is also a high risk reward character like anakin
-yes Maul has 2 1 pips and 1 of them replaces a 3pip when I build your list so I can easily take them both
-probe droids are a detachment to Maul and and use new observation tokens "they let a unit hang back but still be able to influence the battle"

You're the true hero of the republic

Alot of characters requested frenquently. Old obi-wan, mara jade, thrawn, lando ahsoka, rest of bounty hunters or Ghost crew as well as inquisitors. Gonna be a suprise/dissapointment whoever they choose.

Mara Jade was hated by Mr Lucas and will likely never be brought back into Canon while there are those that respect his wishes at Lucasfilm. So that's definitely going to be a no for now.

After the last jedi and rise of skywalker, there can't be many left at Lucasfilm that care about anything IMO 😂 . I don't care for Jade though myself. However she is already in x-wing so I wouldn't count her out.

Xwing isn't canon, and Filoni, and many others do care about what Lucas's vision was , there was a panel where they announced Thrawn in Rebels where someone asked about Mara Jade and the answer was a very stern no, it's also been explained that the force negative creatures (can't remember the name) were another idea that Lucas hated simply because it it lives it's got to be of the force.

IMO not having an overall story arc from the beginning hurt the sequel overall storyline , the number of introduced plot holes makes the OT look sane. I will say that if the OT had been released now I'm sure people would have hated on that just as much. ESB was far from well liked on release as well. Rotj was seen as a cash grab for toys.

To add to my earlier post, Agent Kallus/Rebel Kallus, a d Cal Kestis

Legion also isn't canon... If it appeared in X-Wing, it will probably appear in Legion as well.

But I don't play Rebels, so couldn't care less 😐

Oops I'm thinking xwing the pc game here, I should know that Mara Jade was in the game I bought the decimator expansion even though I don't play xwing. Not sure how they got that one through lucasfilm given the history, but true enough , if it's in the miniature game it could still appear in legion though I still feel it's unlikely

In betting observation tokens will allow some sort of attack where LOS and/or cover is taken from the unit with the observation token. More likely cover, but who knows

Edit also perhaps pierce and dodge avoidance as well.

This. The Tactical Droid makes B2 VERY viable because it removes the serious AI handicap (especially if you have the HA rocket B2) if you can't end the coordinate chain on them (if e.g. a BX sniper team really needs the activation), gives them a surge token every turn, which drastically increases their survivability (white with defensive surge is a 100% increase over a plain white dice) and the extra red attack dice pairs up very nicely with both heavy weapon troopers but again the B2-Ha trooper in particular. 3Red, 3 Black, 4 white with blast and impact 2 at range 2 is downright murderous, while 3 Red and 1 White with blast and impact 2 is still good at range 3 if the unit does have to stay back or ends up at range.

Commando Droids will like him very much as well, he is only one point more than a regular BX-droid, benefits from the unit's red defense dice and adds some very welcome extra rules to the unit while eliminating any issues you might end up having with AI, and having a surge on a red defense dice is big as well, both on melee and shield units. And 1R>2W when it comes to ranged offense. Also imagining the monkey droid charging at enemies with a vibro sword and hacking at people alongside the much more agile and sleeker Commando Droids is going to be hilarious, as is him scaling walls without problems with the rest of the unit. In any case there seems no reason to take the extra BX droid over the Tactical Droid EVER.

As far as I see it the upgrade is pretty much a no brainer for both units B2s unless you are short on points. We don't know about the regular Clone Officer unit upgrade (not the Phase 1 Captain that already released), but the way I look at it he easily is the best officer upgrade in the game and tough contender for best personnel upgrade. He seems like a waste for regular B1s though, I'm not sure the benefits are worth the extra 12 points over a regular B1 considering how fragile B1 units are.

EDIT: Dammit, just realized Commando Droids don't have a personnel upgrade slot, there go my dreams of a monkey ninja droid <.<...

The movies aren't the only source of canon though. All the recent books, TV, video games, comics, etc are part of the new canon. So that opens up to a LOT of random vehicles and even characters.

Dash Rendar perhaps? I don't know if he's shown up in the Disney canon, but he (or his ship) is in at least one version of one of the movies, which technically makes him potentially canon.

Lucas also hated "gray" force-users, and yet there are whole episodes of Rebels dedicated to those. And I'm pretty sure he'd hate that time-travel cave of theirs as well. Viciously so.

FFG stuff that predates Disney Canon isn't Disney Canon unless and until later referenced in a Disney Canon work. This isn't exactly news? So yeah, sadly no Mara Jade. What Disney and Kennedy gave us instead was "Get off my lawn!" Luke. Much improvement...

Lucas hated Mara Jade to the point that he kicked people out of interviews when she was brought up. I think its safe to say that we will never see her as long as Lucas is alive.

He was added back into canon in the book "Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor" according to the Wookiepedia canon article about the character.

No discussions about Yoda's species was also a BIG rule of Lucas, and yet...
