Hello there one and all!
Following my last community project, the expanded Clone Wars guide Heroes On Both Sides (which you can check out HERE ), I'm now beginning work in earnest on my next fan book - an adventure module titled Blood And Credits.
Cover:
As with HoBS, this book will be set during the Clone Wars era, and will feature a group of PCs uncovering a dark conspiracy ready to strike at the heart of the Grand Army of the Republic. Fans of mystery and political intrigues should get a kick out of the content in this adventure, though there will still be plenty of combat encounters and at least one big pitched battle to spice things up along the way. Key elements of the adventure module will include (but are not limited to):
- A story based around an intricate web of corruption and treachery, with many twists, betrayals and surprises along the way.
- Opportunities to use a variety of subsystems from the SWRPG line such as gambling and mass combat rules.
- The chance for PCs to interact with a number of canon Star Wars characters, such as Padme Amidala or Shaak Ti. However the module will also include alternative non-canon character profiles for these NPCs, for those GMs who prefer to keep their games separate from canonical characters and events (for example, Senator Amidala's role in the story can be replaced with an original senator NPC).
- Pre-generated characters so your group can pick up the book and play the adventure right away!
Although it will be a little while yet before the full project is released, I'm now at the stage where I feel confident sharing some of the early pages with you guys and posting updates as work progresses.
Here's a preview of the opening page spread, which features the Introduction, Adventure Overview and Adventure Background sections. This gives a brief outline of the adventure as a whole, and the background context for where the plot kicks off (so, spoiler warning I suppose!):
Huge shout-out goes to @the_dearth for their fantastic InDesign templates for the Star Wars RPG books. I'm a newcomer to InDesign, having used Photoshop exclusively up until now, but his templates have made getting to grips with new software a much less daunting task.
I'll be posting further updates as work progresses, but for now feel free to leave any feedback or questions below!
