Not a huge amount of information, but they're looking like generally handy packs to exist!

Fleet Essentials accessory packs article
What was the point of the dial packs?
Is it possible they will stop giving us dials in future expansions? Except for those stupid "all collection versus" games, no one uses more than say 20 dials in any game. I would be happy for less carbon footprint if they decided to not give dials in every expansion. For the crazy ones who WANT to use all of their collection: dial-pack exists.

That is a hidden price increase. Not cool.

If it helps, the Fleet Starter packs are coming with extra Command (10) and Speed dials (8). A new player who buys a Fleet Starter should be able to run most 400-point lists without buying the Dial Pack. 3-Command medium-ship swarms might be difficult, but even then they shouldn't need more than a couple they can probably borrow from an older player.

I value having less clutter. And it's more environmentally friendly.
...What's not cool is appearing to only offer 4 dials per pack? Is the stock image right?
They should have at least thrown extras in the starter sets, but that seems unlikely.
I stand corrected

The article says ten command and seven speed for the dials pack. I think the starter is saying ten and eight. At least the Republic article says that. And if the only way to get the starter ships is that pack the dials pack will likely be not needed.
Edited by FrimmelThey definitive will launch the ships from the starter as an stand alone ship. They did so with the cr90, neb b and vic. Probably with some extra commander and upgrades u dont get in the starter.
Radical idea: use paper and writing implement to indicate orders rather than the command dials.
Modern problems, etc.
