Gang, I want to try this game, but am so hesistant. I need a solo/co-op game that I can bust out at home and play solo, or with my 12 year old son. I'm just worried I may not like it. The overwhelming majority of reviews I have seen, love the game and highly recommend it. If you could give me three to five bullet points on why I should make the plunge, I would appreciate it. Anybody else on the fence at first, but then tried it and loved it? Thanks for your time, and be safe everyone.

- Every hero plays differently. If you don't like a particular style, you can find a hero that works for you and the experience will be very different.
- The different aspects highlight different things about the heroes. Some synergies are pretty surprising (like Doctor Strange and Aggression).
- With the different modular sets, you can really crank the difficulty or dial it back for each enemy. For instance, any modular set that pushes encounter card draw is going to make playing against Klaw absolutely punishing.
- The scenarios are getting more diverse. The core box started out pretty basic, but then we got Green Goblin and Wrecking Crew, which do some different things than the core villains did. Kang looks to really shake things up with individual play areas, and we know that Red Skull spams side schemes.
- It's REALLY fun to get the perfect hand for your hero and punch the villain for high damage or help set somebody else up to punch the villain for high damage.
•Easy set up, you can get a game up and running in less than 5 minutes. Even faster if you already have decks put together.
•Easy to learn. I was worried that this game may be too much for some members of my gaming group, but after a few rounds everyone knew what they needed to do.
•The LCG model is pretty easy to budget for. I can easily dish out the $15-20 a month with an occasional $40 drop. Much cheaper than some other card games.
•The solo aspect can be a little swingy, but once you get the feel for it, it’s not bad. It’s given me hours of entertainment, when it’s pretty hard to get a group together in our current state.
•My favorite part of this game is the role playing feeling I get when I use a certain hero. I’ve played several Marvel games over the years, and Marvel Champions does the absolute best job of making me feel like I’m playing as the hero I’m using.
- Its Marvel Superhero thematic fun, my son 13 enjoys it.
- The ever changing hand and options reduces alpha-gaming (So your son can express himself while playing)
- There are challenging puzzles to work out, yet the game is not as stress filled as other co-ops
- There is a lot of variety between the different Heroes and cards.
- You dont have to spend a lot of time building decks unless you really want to and even then its not much.
- The buy-in is good value, you really dont need more than the core set, and if you want just get the hero add-ons and villain challenges that appeal to you.
- Multi-player has a lot of cooperative interaction, that creates feel good experiences worth retelling.

While all the above bullet points are absolutely valid and, hopefully, convincing, maybe you could tell us what you do not like in a game instead. As you've already seen so many reviews, you are aware of the positive consensus around this game, and it is possible we just collectively repeat what you've already been told. So if you are still worried, maybe you could tell us what kind of features/elements makes you dislike a game. We'll be able to tell you whether Marvel Champions is for you or not.
Thanks everyone, those are all great points, and have pushed me to purchase the core set, and all the expansions. Just needed a little more encouragement and this helped tremendously. Thanks again!
