What are folks hoping to hear tonight?

Yes, we know Anakin and Maul. I find it highly unlikely that FFG will *only* announce two heroes.

Sorry Nute, you seem like a popular guy but I have no CIS. So, here’s the wishlist:

1. Rebels: Ewok subfaction, including new corps and SF units (queue inspiration from Clan Wren as multiple uniques like Logray or Wicket that won’t eat a full commander or operative slot). My Endor board thanks you in advance. There’s just not much left for the rebellion to have that’s not a unique character in the main alliance, so time to branch out!

2. Empire: Army Troopers from Solo. This is the faction with the least amount of iconic characters, so let’s give them more troop variants.

3. Republic: Jedi SF unit please. Just don’t make it too good/too expensive. We’ve seen some really lousy Jedi in a fight (Geonosis arena) so I’m sure we can have an IRG or Wookie level melee unit out of them (ok, maybe a bit better than wookies). Single Force slot for the unit seems fair. Maybe a 2nd.

Wild card: I still think now is a great time for the first universal operative that can play any faction: Hondo Ohnaka! Give him some fun shenanigans, and maybe a mechanic that makes him panicking worse (like opponent controls him for an activation when panicked).

Bonus wild card: If they announced reprints of stormtroopers and rebel troopers in hard plastic sprue with brand new sculpts, I wouldn’t cry. My stormtroopers were some of my first painted minis, so I really wouldn’t mind a chance to have new refreshed ones! I just don’t want to buy even more of the same exact sculpts.

Honestly I'm still really curious what the 3rd corps choice is going to be for both CIS and GAR. Personally I'm hoping for planetary forces still, but I doubt that's what they'll have to announce.

I'm hoping CIS can expect magna guards and DSD1 dwarf spider droids relatively soon. Following the trends of the Imperial/reb releases I think it's plausible.

I'm hoping for Lando paired with IG-88 or Dengar. I would also accept Akbar or Wedge. I recognize that many/all of these are unlikely, at least in the near future.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see some announcements for stuff from The Mandalorian. I'd rather see some OT releases, but I would still be pretty excited.

I'm trying to keep mine somewhat realistic

1) Darth Maul.

2) A generic CIS droid commander so people can stop complaining about it.

3) Magna Guard

Based on the order for the OT factions, these will probably be our next few boxes

Non realistic list:

1) Nightsisters

2) Deathwatch

3) A new play mode using only commanders and operatives

I'm fairly new to the hobby, but I'd like to see...

* Ahsoka Tano as a Republic operative.

* Tactical droid commander.

* I'd love to paint some Gungans. Perhaps they would work as a Republic unit, in the same vein as the wookies? Or perhaps some Kaadu riders. Obviously, a Gungan Grand Army would be awesome, but I realize not everyone has embraced Gungan Greatness.

* I'd love to pain some of the weirder Jedi characters. Not sure how they'd fit into the game though, except as operatives and generals down the road.

* Magna guards of course.

I think that the 3rd corps for CIS can be the geonosian warriors. They could be similar to the B1 that they come in large numbers and are easy to kill, but can have some nice differences. Also I think that the miniatures will look great.

For Republic probably gungans???

I'm also hoping the dwarf spider droids to come up soon!

Assuming we're getting Anakin & Maul my predictions are:

Republic - Ahsoka and a Republic Specialist Unit box. (Generic Commander, Medic etc)

Rebels - Lando & more members of the Ghost crew (Kannan & Ezra)

CIS - Assajj Ventress will arrive at some point surely. Geonosians (Or other non droid corp unit) or a Specialist Unit box.

Imperial - No idea

Maybe a hint or two about possible subfractions or even a Scum faction?

-Grand Admiral Thrawn
-Agent Kallus
-The Grand Inquisitor (and if we enter this area, could be every other inquisitor)

Dual Kit Trench that can be robo-Trench or normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A special forces unit of generic Jedi with maybe a named Jedi or two as upgrades would be a pretty awesome unit and a good way to get some of these characters in the game.

I know in a livestream they said they had nothing in the works so far, but i'm praying to our FFG overlords that we get a Legion campaign box similar to the Armada campaigns! The armada ones are pretty fun but I just LOVE legion, I would straight up cry if they announced one on todays stream

Other stuff : Probe droids, another of the classic bounty hunters (ESB or Greedo), Baze and Chirrut, Snowtroopers from Solo, Saw and Partisans, Inquisitors, Thrawn, Tarkin, Riekkan, the Ghost crew, Dr Aphra and droids, any of the empire from Jedi Fallen Order, some sort of scenario pack: tuskens, rancor, Jabba wampa. Hopefully Mandalorian stuff but not holding my breath for that.

Surprised how similar everyone thoughts are. I don't expect anything too crazy since Armada is the big one for them this year. Figure next year should be when they announce the new faction(s). Maybe a hint if they will go with ST or Scum next?

GAR 3: Ahsoka operative that works with Ani (like Chewie), Senate Commandos to match wookies/royal guard, and of course Ani

CIS 3: ANY CHEAP COMMANDER!!!!, Maga guards, and Maul

Rebels/Empire: ??????????????? No idea, but I do like the idea of seeing force users and the Ghost crew/Inquisitors seem like the prime targets

The only other droid options I can think of are the Aqua droid or the D-wing air support droid before they get into the partisan corps units? Umbara we already got a hint of with them being on one card so it will be interesting to see what option they go with for CIS. I think sub-factions seem to be FFG answer to several factions running out of units to field.

It should be Maga guards tonight. Funny enough they skipped over the dwarf spider droid (and Clone Eweb) wave for the STAP/ATAT..................... I really wanted that spider droid.

For Rebels could be Saw Guerrera and the rebel partisans. It would go well if they release Navy troopers or Army troopers for the empire as it would be adding another corps unit to both factions.

Yeah today. I recall a while back that it was going to happen later this year. But Alex Davy also said he'd rewatch the Manalorian when they get around to making stuff from the series. Given that outlook and production lead in times I dont expect it soon, but I think we all know its coming eventually.

Yeah, that would be awesome. I'm not sure my man Coleman Trebor can rationally make the cut, but it would still be fun.

That will be interesting since the more realistic date for a new faction would be next Gencon to go with the same pattern as last time or 3 years from now if they do the ST first. I could see them trying to squeeze in a Scum faction sooner especially to get that Mando hype money.

Of course I am going with the idea that they will follow X-wing and we will eventually have 7 independent factions with no cross over (maybe Hondo). There is a chance they follow other miniature games and go with Scum and sub factions being playable by multiple factions? That would allow the mando to slip in sooner as a universal operative.
