This was the most interesting thing in my opinion about the changes. Unfortunately though Hera in the VCX stays the same. Ezra gunner drops two points though and Dorsal Turret is down to 2. Agile gunner (7;6;5;4 small to huge) and Veteran Turret Gunner (12;9;7;7 small to huge) both get the inverse scale with ship size treatment.

This is great, if only to have them, and not have to speculate anymore.

There are, as expected, really minimal changes, though the inverse scaling on base size for the VTG is pretty neat.

I notice that a few missiles and payloads received drops while every torpedo not Proton Torpedoes dropped.

And they put some of the V-19s in Hyperspace and most received a points drop.

I was excited to run generic nantexs again when the article said they went down but with the PS3 ensnare at 21 points its even more unplayable for me 😢

I didn't think this would happen... and certainly never saw the Silencer as worth fewer points than an E-Wing.

However, as the owner of four Chonky Silencers, I know the first list I'm going to play if I'm ever able to play in person again.

ATTENTION: Ello Asty has come to Hyperspace.

The sky is falling, Crack Shot is now 2 points.

Advanced Optics are still 4 and only Zizi went up by 1. FFG likes that combo. I do too.

They are still doing my guy Old Teroch dirty by not letting him play in Hyperspace.

Slave 1 at 5 points feels better. May need more work, we'll see.

Scum Z95s are now HS legal.

Yeah, 48 for SJE and 49 for a Knave feels really wrong to me. SJE is a far better ship.

FFG really is trying to make the Odd Ball meta happen. I'm all for it.

And small base VTurG has been nuked even further out of existence..

I had been slowly amassing 4 Silencers in the hope that they would drop from 51 to 50. I'm not sure what extra utility comes from a drop to 48 - maybe 2 Optics? Or 2 Targeting Synchronizers. The 8 point bid seems unnecessary, so I'd like to do something with it.

Sadly, I don't think that when the Xi-shuttle comes out, it would work to have Hux plus 3 Silencers, because I think the Shuttle's coordinate is red. Hux in an Upsilon doesn't allow 3 Silencers either.

Other stray thoughts:

  • 3 Torpedo Rogues seems plausible. 2 Proton/1 Plasma with R3s on each leaves 4 points to spare (FCS on Proton ones? Failsafes? Marksmanship?). At Init 2, you'd just die too often before shooting, but Init 4 is where you can start to get kills on stuff before it attacks.
  • Barons of the Empire at 28 make 29 point Phoenix A-Wings look really pathetic. Generic RZ-1s are just so badly priced.
  • BB Asrtromechs legal in HS. @gennataos rejoice with Poe + 3.
  • Cheaper missiles and Passive Sensors seems... interesting. Ion Missiles + Passives is a 5 point package. 37 points on a TIE/sf, 33 on a BotE.
  • Scum Han with Missiles might be solid. I already kinda liked him, and he got a lot cheaper.
  • I really like that Marksmanship is in Hyperspace as a cheap talent. If it's the only real option, it'll probably see some experimentation, and we'll see how good it is or isn't.
  • Are Shadow Bomber Y-Wings good now? 31 with Dorsal, 33 with R4 or R4-P (I like that this is now the same as R4!). I could see that being an OK list, or just a nice little ship to bring a few of, along side aces.
