Refinement needed on my fleet.

I am reasonably happy with this fleet but would like some suggestions, particularly on objectives and squads. I always struggle with choosing objectives. I wonder whether I should be bidding for 1st or 2nd player with it. Any advice welcomed.

ISD is OK. HTTs are good if the enemy has ECM but XI7s are generally preferred. LTTs are good for all attacks including salvo. Overall in the list this is your main ship killer so you may want your Gunnery Teams for the second big shot.

interdoctor I don’t think will get you that much use from Piet. Turning 3 repair points into 5 isn’t worth the loss of a commander for the rest of your fleet. Motti would get you 7 hull or JJ let’s you turn sharply. Reeva is good but Wulff or Grint could get you 8 repair a turn. Gravity well could be replaced by Grav Shift - it really depends on the missions you pick.

Flotillas are fine. Officer Vader is great for 1 point in case of a disastrous big volley and who needs a SADviser after turn 3.

Squads: I usually say 4+ other Swarms to make howlrunner Worth it but your decent escort and Sontir mean she will probably last a while.
Maarek, Cienna, Valen, Tempest is an alternative that will hurt ships more if the enemy have no squads.

Thanks. The thinking with Piett is that I can use Interdictor to un-exhaust him every turn, giving me double fleet commands for 5 rounds. I can use the two Gozantis to throw tokens to both ships which will let me (for example) run a CF dial and squadron dial in the same turn from the ISD and also run two commands from the Interdictor, so it can CF and engineer.

Reeva I wasn't sure about, any other suggestions?

You could be right about strategic advisor. I have 4 activations and he takes me up to 5, is he worth it?

• Local Fire Control (4) - Gunnery Teams will give you more value here (+3)
• Electronic Countermeasures (7)
• Leading Shots (4)
• Heavy Turbolaser Turrets (6) - Xi7s (which will always work) or you can get away with no upgrade if you make some changes to Interdictor (+0 or -6)
• Relentless (3) - Think about using Avenger here, especially if you add Overload Pulse to Interdictor (+2)
= 148 Points

Interdictor Suppression Refit (90) - Are you fighting with this guy or just supporting ISD? I think you need to get this guy into the fight and would make the following changes:
• Admiral Piett (22)
• Reeva Demesne (4)
• Projection Experts (6) - Engine Techs would be better to help you get the Interdictor a double arc (+2)
• Disposable Capacitors (3) - Seriously consider adding Heavy Ion Emplacements or Overload Pulse, if OP - add Avenger (+9 or +8)
• Targeting Scrambler (5)
• G7-X Grav Well Projector (2)
• Interdictor (3)
= 135 Points

• Hondo Ohnaka (2) - With two Comms Net probably won't need Hondo (-2)
• Comms Net (2)
= 27 Points

these squad changes will give you more damage over time vs. Soontir/Escort

So these changes bring you to 403, you can go with LFC to make that ISD hit back, which still works well with Xi7s, or you can drop Reeva and go with SFO.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was trying to make my ships much tougher to kill rather than delivering extra damage but do you think there's more mileage in the extra damage?

Any suggestions on Objectives?

I am a firm believer in "kill them before they kill you"

I'd do Contested Outpost / Most Wanted / Solar Corona or Doomed Station
