I was reading the "How to fix the E-Wing" thread and got to thinking that I should experiment with Corran a bit more to see what I could come up with.
After thinking about what I wanted Corran to focus on I came up with this as a first iteration:
Corran Horn (66)
Predator (2)
Fire-Control System (2)
R3 Astromech (3)
Ship total: 73 Half Points: 37 Threshold: 3
Leia Organa (79)
Lando Calrissian (2)
Ship total: 81 Half Points: 41 Threshold: 7
Jake Farrell (36)
Crack Shot (1)
Proton Rockets (7)
Ship total: 44 Half Points: 22 Threshold: 2
Total: 198

My whole idea was that I want Corran to take 2 locks and keep those locks for the whole game, unless he has a really tasty range 1 bullseye with a focus opportunity and I want to finish a ship off to grab a lock on another target or two.
I wanted to keep Leia light because I wanted to keep her simple and saving her force for a Corran red maneuver. My thinking with Lando is to hopefully get a home run one turn. This may be too hopeful and taking him off for something else, or nothing, might be better.
And Jake is Jake with Prockets because I love Jake with Prockets and I wanted a three ship list. And Jake with Prockets gives them something else to think about. He has Crack Shot for after he fires his Prockets to maintain his punching power a bit.
I've only tested it in theory against the admittedly poor AI of fly casual. So far I've noticed that predator and fcs might be doubling up on something that I rarely need both for. I think I only used both in the se shot once or twice.
Thoughts?
Update: Trying to keep Leia semi-close to Corran to distribute a focus to Corran when he does a red is hard and, frankly, a lot of points for a support ship.
