Peter built this list to pull off a brutal HIE and ACM combo with Fire-Control Team. He added the Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighters because those are his new favorite squadrons. And Devastator in case someone brought Sloane.

He had initiative and chose to be second player. I chose Superior Positions as the objective.

Deployment: I deployed left of center in my deployment zone, with him mirroring me on his left side. I put all my fighters in front in case he left his fighters vulnerable to a single strike.

Round 1: While our ships inched forward, my squadrons got in position to pounce on his fighters in Round 2. My right Gozanti started to tail off to the right, hoping to get an Arquitens to commit to it.

Round 2: My squadrons immediately destroyed the Gauntlet Fighters and started working on the Gozanti, gaining Victory Tokens along the way from the objective (I did not count how many I gained each round). My Quasar stayed out of medium range of his Kuat while my Gozanti was obstructed from his front Arquitens' side arc.

Round 3: With my Interdictor activating first, it destroyed his Gozanti and got out of range of medium range of his Kuat. By destroying his Gozanti, it allowed my Quasar to keep out of medium range by going last. His Arquitens damaged my Gozanti before ramming into my Quasar. He took out an Interceptor with his Kuat, which I immediately brought back with the Quasar's Reserve Hanger Deck before his Kuat ran into his own Arquitens. The Quasar activated squadrons, which collected a few more Victory Tokens off the Kuat.

Round 4: My Quasar activated one last time to allow my squadrons to get some more Victory Tokens off the Kuat before the Arquitens destroyed it. My Interdictor and Gozanti both got away after flinging some squadrons at the Kuat for more Victory Tokens.

Round 5: After throwing some full health squadrons at the Kuat for a couple more Victory Tokens, I disengaged with the rest of my squadrons. The game ended 242-77 (8-3, 165 MoV).

Thoughts: After I plowed through his squadrons and then got a few Victory Tokens, Peter muttered that maybe this wasn't the best objective for him; I ended up with 11 Victory Tokens off his objective. Since my Quasar and his Gozanti/Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighters evened each other out perfectly, the Victory Tokens made the entire difference. I managed to keep my Interdictor out of a potential crossfire between the Kuat and the Arquitens, which was my big fear throughout the game. I probably could have turned into the side of the Kuat and destroyed it, but given that I was already significantly up on Victory Tokens, I didn't want to risk the chance of getting destroyed by the Arquitens for a tabling. It was a solid victory that gave me a little breathing room going into the next round.

Hope you enjoyed the BATREP!
