[SPOILERS] Dream Eaters Interlude II (Oneironauts) Question

By Magistrix, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

We recently completed scenario II-A and II-B of the dream eaters campaign which brought us to the Oneironauts interlude. At the end of the interlude, it has you "Check the Campaign Log for The Web of Dreams (Campaign B). Read the section to the below that applies to your situation." None of the options applied to us and we were wondering if this is an expected outcome or a misprint.

We chose to not send the black cat to either group in Interlude I. This recorded "the black cat has a hunch" on both campaign logs. Then, during Interlude II, since "the black cat has a hunch" we don't get to pass another message along, which means none of the options on pages 30-31 apply (the black cat didn't warn the others, request aid from the others, *or* share knowledge of the Underworld). Is this expected? Usually, there's something for "if none of the above apply" so we were confused in this case.

One of the situations in Oneironauts 2 is”If the Black Cat has a hunch and Randolf eluded capture...” So that may fit your circumstance.
Otherwise your situation would be in the first 2 options in Oneironauts 2.
The other 3 things have to do with one group having the aid of the Black Cat in some way. Since you didn’t send him to anyone specifically, none of those would apply to you.
We made the same choice. He is just being enigmatically cat-like...

It does read quite strangely: “Now, where was I? Oh, right. I had a chat with your friends. They’re in the Dreamlands now, too. They have a message for you.”, when in fact there was no message at all.

I’m pretty sure the intention is that you don’t do anything - the FAQ has been updated since the packs were released and I’d have expected errata if it were an egregious error. I think it’s likely just a mistake in the narrative.
