The Idea is to have The ISD charge in fwd facing with the Arq and Goz in support, use the ISD to obstruct the Arq and use its now 5 Red roadside to wither targets while the ISD acts like a Shield with the Goz feeding tokens to feed IFP. The dual Raiders skirt either side for fighter protection and use obstacles and/or ships to get the extra dice and obliterate anything fighter related. If working in tandem with the ISD that is a lot of flak. Keep the flag ship back for a few rounds using long range with it and the Arq then dart and dash with the Raiders and Ext Rack anything still moving.

I have a different fleet using a Demo and 2 Arq's with 2 Raiders as well. But this one peaks my interest with the Angry Triangle as the linchpin

Thoughts?

I might be tempted to drop Suppressor and change your Gozanti Cruiser for an Assault Carrier. With a CF dial and obstruction you'll get 3 red dice from it.

I don't like running squadless but that's my personal preference.

I thought about that, but then I thought it was an easy way to help the ISD survive the brunt with the suppressor ability, and like you I generally have squads too...BUT there is alot of flak here and lock down, so hoping it will make the difference. The raiders should shred most squads and lock them down. The one game I played so far with this, my opponent wouldn't send his squads in. I got a great first set of shots and then just went for them. I wiped the board clean but it was against a very new opponent.

Once a Raider hits 65 points, it's time to really start considering a GSD or Arq. I think you're going to have a hard time getting use out of 2 kitted-out Raider-1s with a minimal bid and 5 activations. Especially with Expanded Launchers, which is only better than Racks if you're getting multiple close range shots. It's also gonna be hard to pull off any good synergy with Romodi.

As for flak, it's not usually an answer against squads compared to just tabling them with ranged firepower. Generally squads only need to hit one flank of a pure flak defense, going through a Raider's side, then moving into ISD flak range. Commanded rogues or MMJ can semi-reliably pop that lone Raider without it shooting, and Kallus had best pray for that 25% accuracy chance against Sloane's scatter aces if they wind up targeting him (though the other Raider is a better target.) Flechettes would make the Raider's role more credible, but then the anti-ship suffers. A minimal 4-6 TIE screen is huge for helping flak, but expensive given the Raiders are already 30% of the list.

I'd be running 2 more naked Arqs and going for the tabling. But you could have Demolisher and 2 of those Assault Carriers @flatpackhamster recommended, and keep Suppressor. Another option is DCaps Raider-2s. The battery range makes them better with Romodi, and the flak range helps them support each other since you aren't leaning into FTs anyway.

Cymoon build looks mean, nothing to say there. Good luck!

First off...THANKS, I didn't even notice I miss clicked Exp Launchers over Ext racks on that raider. The intention once I had everything kitted out was to attach DCaps, but didn't have the points and I completely missed that. Changing the Exp launchers for Ext Racks and DCAPS all fit now and makes the ships a little better, plus it allows to change the Goz. Glad you liked the ISD though, I think its a beast!

So my modified fleet would be as such (down below), not much of a bid but its not a black crit fleet. Its a lay in wait fleet and use red firepower coupled with strong up close punch and dart/lock down screen. While I generally like a fighter screen this was my first non fighter fleet. Where I play we generally do purist with very little Imp on imp so it will surprise a few of my friends, but will be interested to fly it against a Sloan build: The key will be to keep distance, ISD and Arq pound the flagship with the Goz feeding IFF. As long as I can use the terrain it should help...all depends on my flying.
