But don't get me wrong, I am perfectly aware that my wish will be granted in a couple of weeks. Marvel Champions will be a new game.
All that being said, it's conceivable that one day we could get a new set of main schemes with a new encounter deck for an existing villain. Varying encounters in that way would work well, especially if the designers come up with original mechanics that changes how you interact with the villain.

Someone asked about alternate versions of heroes on one of the livestreams, IIRC, and the answer was that they had a long list of heroes to go through before they started revisiting any.
yes there are a lot of heroes to go through. I've got high hopes for Red Skull and what it will bring to refresh the gameplay loop.
I think that Kang design is just very interesting. I already found Green Goblin to be also interesting and, as already mentioned, the wrecking crew is to date my favourite villains gang.
I think one day down the line we'll get a big expansion themed on Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men and the likes.

Yondu, Vance Astro, Martinex, Charlie-27, Nikki.
Aleta/Starhawk would also be super neat... double sided Hero would be a lot of fun.

Like Icehot, I'd like to see the original Guardians appear in Marvel Champions - but sadly I think this is unlikely.

OG GotG could certainly happen someday but they're certainly more of a deep cut. Capitalizing on popularity and advertising from the MCU & Disney is too good to pass up.
It's true that the original Guardians could make their way here.
But If focusing on what MCU put the spotlights on is easy money made and if it helps the game being able to cast other less well-known or old characters is something that could help too :-)
