Which Feldherr bag holds an entire army?

By Flurpy, in Star Wars: Legion

Having recently finished my CIS 800 starter army I am now looking forward to transporting them. Do you guys have experience with Feldherr and which bag is best suited for a large army. I would roughly need room for:

60 small base miniatures

12 large base miniatures

1 tank

So definitely something on the large side just not sure which one.

I've only used feldherr boxes. From what I recall, a deep trooper tray holds 48, a shallow one holds 32. The larger based ones are about twice as deep as a tray, but only half the surface. Dont know about the bags. I can take a pic if you like

Bags are preferred, boxes are fine. A picture would be great if you dont mind.

I should add that it (the Miniature Market bag) also has exterior pockets that I keep a tablet in for the rules PDF, and a water bottle holder. Foam comes in different depths for larger minis.

Just bedtime here. Ill do it in the morning

Here's the contents of my imperial box.

The 48 slot holds 4x stormtroopers , 1x scouts, 1x snowtroopers and 1x deathtroopers. These minis stand upright

The smaller 16 slot has 1x specialists and 1x upgrades. 8 empty slots. These minis are laid flat and more prone to rattling loosely, but less prone to weapon warp as the upright. ones. these trays are not as deep as the 48 slot

the 10 slot is like the above but has 2 longer spaces, handy for heroes or a slightly larger mini like bikes if removed from base (or wookies) A bit more sturdy than the 16 slot

the other 3 are about the same depth. One for speeder bikes and 1x shoretroopers; one for occupier tank, and another that holds eweb or dewbacks comfortably (any combo of 2) also 12x trooper sized slots.

I have a spare empty 48 tray and a spare empty 32 slot tray also. All together they fill up the box with lots of room to spare.

Essentially, two half sizes equal one full size tray, or stack to about the same depth as one half size deep tray.

I have a rebel box too which is much the same, but with some different slots for tauntauns, at-rts and landspeeders. the size of those trays are about the same as the speeder bike ones etc.

If you want to send me a list of your army to be transported I'll give you an idea of what ones should work in what combination

Feldherr Maxi bag is perfect for my Rebel 800pt lists . . . but they don’t have an AAT to take up 1/2 the space or crazy hordes of droids. I got the game plus stuff from miniature market and it arrives tomorrow. I’ll let you know if I experience any tank issues with the foam. I plan on detaching the turret and using 4” foam or putting 1.5” foam on top as a lid.
