Look. I don’t know you. Honest question have you tried this list?
Imo with my table experience, the arc is actually basically the best variant to me.

yeah it’s more beef. But there’s a reason why that’s so incredible

Only played it a little.

And ARC could easily be the best. Ace + Miniswarm has usually done worse than Swarm.

It's just less exciting.

With Sense and mag pulse this is very good ace hunter, you can setup killzones froms ****. Also all your squad flies at same initiative. Of course flying this makes your head overheat after few games :)

P.S have you tried Torrent snapswarm?

Torrents (and similar craft) can be fun in Epic, where having massed bodies and guns is valuable and there's less pressure on each ship. But in Standard/Extended 200pts, where every single ship in your list needs to be able to reliably deal at least as much damage to offset its own point value, these sort of filler ships are generally pretty unreliable, because common match-ups are too uphill for them to carry their weight.

Well said.

She's an I4 Jedi Knight for 1 more point. What's not to love?

With the recent point update, what do you think about replacing 2i Torrents with blue ones?

With Broadside instead Ric...

ARC-170: "Sinker" (54)

Y-wing: "Broadside" (36 + 5)
+ Ion Cannon Turret (5)
V-19 Torrent: Blue Squadron Protector (26)

V-19 Torrent: Blue Squadron Protector (26)

V-19 Torrent: Blue Squadron Protector (26)

If that 2-to-3 swing makes sense for your meta, should be fine.

Mostly, if I'm going with Blues, I want to find the points for Dedicated. That's a lot of defensive potential. Broadside with just Dorsal Turret would fit, or a no-upgrades Jedi Knight, or Dinee, but there's not really a great 6th ship. Maybe Oddball with Mag-Pulse Warheads. That's 37 points, and looks kinda OK actually.

Obi Plo + Torrent Torrent + Lumi/Ric

Obi Plo + Torrent Torrent + Broadside

Both lists have been working great for me in hyperspace. The torrents really are close to the most fun part of the lists. They open things up for the Jedi to get into range 1 for big damage which feels thematic. Room for dedicated in the ion/seismic broadside version.
