Is this fast enough? [ORCS]

By Token2, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

so this is the deck i've been working on since i started playing - basically its an orc rush - i was just after some advice on how to make it better

3x crooked teef goblins

3x veteren sellswords

3x snotling pump wagon

3x squig herders

3x spider riders

3x lobber crew

2x clan moulder elite

2x followers of mork

2 x boar boyz

1 x doom divers

1x urguck

1x ugrok beardburna

tactics

1x waaagh

2x swarm 'em

3x favour of mork

3x mob up

2x we'z bigga

1x pillage

1x troll vomit

support

3x warpstone excavation

1x bashas bloodaxe

1x totem of gork

1x scrapheap

1x grimgors camp

1x rocklobber

2x choppa

so whatcha think people?

most of the cars x1 are useless if they remain in that amount, the only suggestion I can give you is get more core sets..

I would not call them "useless" Just less realible to have when you need it.

Sometimes you will have that waaagh or troll vomit when you need it, or not. Dosn;t make the card useless. But yeah some of them are good and better off double or triple. But bottom line is, this deck is fast enough it will do what it needs to do most of the time. As he will often be up against other fast decks these days, its still more luck of the first draw/hand anyways.

Would some cards being doubled make it better? For sure

Does it matter that much? not really.

if we are talking about friendly gaming is fine, take 60 orc randoms cards put them togheter and the deck is done.

but now let me ask you, would you ever partecipate to a tournament (no matter what's the type, it may be minor/major/regional/national whateva) with keycards in x1? ok orcs are fast, ok orcs just need to start with 2 spideriders and 1 choppa and in 3 turns they close, ok that's fine! but when you gonna need troll vomit to reset the game or maybe a waagh for a better rush you got a chance of 1/40 to pick the right card from the deck.

I'd like to rephrase your questions:

would some cards being doubled make it better? for sure

would some cards being tripled make it better? **** yea

does it matter that much? in my opinion it marks the difference between a player who build a wise deck and another one who let the luck plays for him.

Or the difference is someone who plays for a bit of fun and dont want to spend to much money, but still have a decent deck

or

someone who wants to make the best possible deck no matter what the cost to brag about how good he is.

Depends on the meta. A deck with Vomit x1 means he doesn't intend on having to use it much, and is really only concerned about drawing it if his rush stalls out. Drawing vomit when you don't want it means you have drawn a dead card or something to develop... in a rush deck you don't want to have had to develop any more than absolutely necessary. This games lack of true search effects means you really have to hope to get that card when you need it, a safety net so to speak.

If he wins 7 out of 10 times before a vomit is needed, having it in there once makes some sense. Waaagh1? Not at all. That should be in there x3 IMO. I'm more control oriented and building decks for control works differently than it does for rush. I'm also more of a social player when it comes to W:I but if you post something titled "Is this fast enough?" expect people to assume you are trying to build the fastest deck possible. This is not it. If you are operating under certain deck building constraints (such as each product x1) just let us know and we can give our opinions with that in mind.

Even if the meta is totally rush, vomit is a must. You won't be sure your rush will always be in game at the speed you want and sometimes resets are necessary to bring the situation to a starter point, that's why I say 1x vomit ain't enough and it's turned into an useless card.

anyway let us know what's the kind of deck you wanna make, if it has to be a competitive one or just a forfun deck with cards in x1.
