What was the Ruling? Dwarves are really powerful right now, what type of Dwarf deck? The Master rune of spite and Dwarven Ranger looks really abusive, and mining Tunnels is my favorite card. Card Draw yes please.

The ruling was that the units were still attacking AFTER damage was already assigned to the capital. Basically he got through for (let's say, I don't remember all the details) 6 damage in the damage step, and then afterwards sacked his 'discard an attacking unit' guy to discard his OWN unit to use the Ranger to ping me for 2 more, getting the last damage. He would have been decked the next turn (i.e. I win if after damage is assigned the battle is over, like in aGoT where all you can due is responses). It was the right ruling, just a little weird to still be attacking after the battle is over

I had all the normal power Dwarf cards except Ranger or the location that gives two developments (I hadn't seen the power of Cannon Crew, finds that location, 3 total developments, Innovate, etc.). Cannon Crew is pretty silly. My only wrinkle (that worked well) was 3X Pilgramage and 3X the new Empire return to hand event. I love those cards (you know me, a tempo player) and they worked espeically well.

No Doubt we would have played 3 to 5 games that day...

Very nice concept...yeah when I saw the Crew and the new location I immediately put them in the deck...I was using Developments because the Judgement deck is pretty good in this area. I love Pilgrimage and the new empire return card, yet i ran them in my High Elf deck with Banish. I need to still work on that deck i think.

I think the deck that I like the best and you know me and my decks is the Dark Elf Bolt thrower. A lot of control cards in that deck...you know me baby. Yet Dwarves are a close second.

Congrats on getting to TOP 8. Keep making us proud. I am going to try to make it out next year to Gen Con...so your wallet won't miss me .

Hey! Everyone, I need a head count. Who is still playing this game?

It looks like Brooks and Ronnie are both a little busy with life, and if need be, I'll start running tourneys and stuff for Ronnie.

Myself and Mitch are pretty much a go every thursday, Keith seem to be fairly regular, and I've seen a few others, if we can get 5 semi-regular players, I'll take up the helm and we'll have weekly tourneys.

I don't want to see this game die, with the amount cash we've all spent on cards already.

I had some ideas for tourneys, tell me what you guys think:

Diversity: 5 pts per win, 2 pts per loss.

Each tourney, I will record the amount of players playing each faction, and you can potentially get a bonus depending on who you play.

For instance, a player playing the least played faction will get a 5pt bonus, and the player playing the most played gets no bonus. That way, we may see less BT, Dwarf Nonsense etc.

Or maybe, we'll have a small entry fee (like a dollar or something): Then the person with the most points in at the end of the month gets the upcoming chapter pack for free, and we disperse the league stuff to the 2nd and 3rd place.

I can make a cool score sheet, and ask Jordan if I can put it somewhere around the gaming area.
