I've been getting notifications from Asmodee the past couples days about my pre-order that indicate they're on track for a July 3-ish release. However, it's still listed as "In Production" on the website. In the past, this meant that it still had to be shipped from overseas to distribution centers in the US, which would take a couple weeks, and then it would enter shipping to consumers.

Is this likely to be delayed or are they already in possession of the sets for shipping on its posted release date?

Really looking forward to having the set July 3 but Just don't want to be disappointed 😅

They haven't been very good at updating the Upcoming page. The Doctor Strange packs have already been printed and are in a warehouse. A lot of people already have it because the distributors outside the US were able to send them out while the US distributor didn't.

They have new categories now. Also it says US release date July 3. It likely changes to shipping today or Monday
