Packing Talisman V2.

By danjr, in Talisman

It was nice to see someones creativity packing their Talisman and expansions.

I have loved Talisman since the original, and want to ensure mine is protected fairly well.

A briefcase my Sister-in-law gave me while she worked at Pelican.

Pelican briefcase

It is Air and water tight. It also locks. I don't want grubby fingers on it LOL.

Case

The document slot is perfect for the rules. Even 4th (original)

The velcro strap is amazing for keeping the boards in place. The styrofoam came with the case is perforated to allow easy reconfiguration.

The expansion boards fit perfectly beside the cards. The main board just ensures nothing pops out.

I could easily carve some foam for the mini's, but it's good for now. There is ample card space for future expansions. All I will have to do is spin the cards 180 and change the foam around. I could also move the counters into the pouches and have even better mini storage or extra card spots.

I thought at the time I got this case...."um thanks". Now I love it. The case at the time was nearly 250. They have come down to about 180 or so.

I am not saying to go buy one, but a decent briefcase may be the answer to packing Talisman. Especially if you are like me and drag it off to friends places. Considering the value of Talisman is almost 300 (4th 60, upgrade 40, board exp. x2 120, card exp x2 80). I'd buy a case to protect it, if I didn't already have one. I checked the Pelican website they have some 100 dollar versions.

I don't know any other good briefcase manufacturers but some office supply stores may be the way to go. That is if you want to really protect your valued copy of Talisman.
