Fleet Commands and spending tokens

This is probably a silly question, but...

Q: If a ship wants to spend a command dial and token of the same type, does it have to spend them simultaneously?
A: Yes. It must already have both the dial and token, and must spend them together. For example, when a ship with both a [concentrate fire] dial and a [concentrate fire] token decides to resolve that command, it must decide whether it is spending the dial, the token, or both before resolving that command’s effects.

Fleet commands allow you to spend a token to get the card effect, but this doesn't prevent you from resolving a dial of the same type later, correct? Because spending a CF token for IF! isn't resolving a CF command, and spending a squad token for AFFM! isn't resolving a squad command.

No, it doesn't prevent you. The question you pointed is regarding the command resolution and Fleet Commands upgrades, despite the "command" thing are not commands. You're spending the token to pay a cost associated to another effect.

when you spend a token as part of the cost of a card Effect it does not also Grant the resolution of a command or other card effects.

Also the timing isn't the same as you must spend tokens at the start of the ship phase before any ships have activated to generate its effect while resolving a command is later in that ships activation
