Hello there, does anyone know if there's going to be a restock of death troopers and scout troopers soon?

I would think yes. With Cad coming in July and commandos likely in August. One would think at some point the reprints would be on one of these ships.

Hard to say. FFG is slow to restock at the best of times, but now the factories are still working through a backlog from being shutdown for a month or so. If FFG is prioritizing new stock, it could be awhile still.

I too have been waiting for restocks for a long time... and I have a lot of store credit at a specific place, so I'm stuck waiting until they specifically get more stock in. Sometimes I wonder if FFG likes to make money or not... XD

Thank you for the interest!! I live in Spain so It'll be easier to find them on the internet, tho, I have noticed that they are quite difficult to find them in general (Spain, UK, USA, etc..) I was hoping for a general restock soon. How often do FFG restock in america?

I fear FFG could forget about the first waves of units and doesn't make them anymore... like other games 😒

Yeah if this game wasn't Star wars it would be dead due to the lack of supply

I reckon it wouldn't have broken into the market, if it wasn't Star Wars.

That is one of the cited reasons for the end of the previous miniature games by FFG. I think they might have too much of a boardgame mindset as far as manufacturing and stocks go. CMON has similar issues.

Legion's first 2 waves are in-stock in most places. The Scout Troopers were released in Wave 3, along with Rebel Commandos, and they are sold out in most places.

FFG isn't going to prioritize the early Legion expansions that are currently in-stock. But they should be producing more Scout Troopers and Death Troopers, because they are out of stock.

I wonder if the shift to producing minis on sprues could be the problem? Is it possible FFG is retooling the earlier Legion expansions to use hard plastic on sprues?

To be fair, it’s not like you really need the older waves of content because power creep has shifted a bunch of them out of favor. Death troopers is probably one of the only out of stock that you really can still use outside of a home-based casual game.

I strongly disagree regarding Scout Troopers and Rebel Commandos. Those are the only Special Forces units with Strike Teams and many Legion players use Strike Teams instead of the full SF units to get cheap activations. So those first SF units are very relevant for contemporary Legion armies.

Death Troopers are superior as SF units, but they lack Strike Teams, so they're expensive and need to be used wisely. After some doing, I finally succeeded in getting 3 Death Trooper expansions and, TBH, after the novelty wore off, I stopped using all 3 in my armies because they were too expensive. I don't regret buying 3 DTs, but I think 2 are sufficient.

I guess I’m confused here. Was more my being a cynic than anything else. What do I know? I’m just salty sometimes.

I just play home games with people I know. We don’t have any of the latest greatest, at least not in mass quantities. My latest SF for empire was IRG and rebel the original commandos (though I’m tempted by Pathfinders to go with Cassian).

Yeah I know. I was just doubling down on your cynicism.

At this point with the way things are going, restocks could come in the next few months or not for another year.

From what my FLGS was saying, they expect a restock of Stormtrooper (and the other 3) upgrades, Clone Phase II (and B2s) when Cad Bane and Padame ship. Can't speak to others cause I didn't ask about them.

So I just heard from the online retailer that I use since I have gift cards there, that they aren't expecting any restocks for the Rebels/Imperials stuff for a while. They said they have notifications on FFG restocks and are trying to get a lot of restocks, but haven't heard anything about Legion Rebels/Imperials. Which sucks, because I can't get Legion stuff until they restock because of the gift cards.

Almost everything seems to be in stock on the ffg website again. Is this an indication of restocks generally?

Wouldn't know, I don't pay attention to the website here most of the time.

But that seems like a good indicator, especially since I believe Asmodee now handles its own distribution in the US.

I'm sure you CAN but it'll involve extra footwork on your part.
