Tannhauser "Theater of War"

I really like the idea you started here.
Maybe you can use some of the special rules in A&A for each faction as powers!?

What I really am missing in Tannhäuser is the fact that there is no real story mode and I haven't found an interesting campaign yet. However the game is predestined for exactly that purpose. So maybe you/we can combine the A&A mechanic for a bigger scale where troops fight for areas and a second layer whith special places and scenarios spread over the world, like Patmos Island, Ksiaz .... and special Scenarios to go with a story.

What needs to be clear is a Goal for each faction and how scenarios influence the bigger level. I thought about Setting up all the four Cardinal Corner Stones (or any other important sites) on the Map and each side is struggling for their control with the side winning which finally can get hold of them.
If an enemy takes control of one of these sites than some smaller scenario campaign can start in order to infiltrate and take power.

This could result in a 3 player campaign of some epic scale.

Those are my insane thoughts and I would like to see something like that happen and your work and efforts are marching in that way.

Kind Regards from Austria where the Kaiser is from.

Sidenote: It is kind of interesting that in Tannhäuser the Reich is synonymos with Germans but in fact the Reich from WWI is KuK Austria.

My wife has made a similar suggestion, and I'm still working on the special powers, it's been a while since I read the A&A rulebook.

Interesting idea. Keep going with it. I'm working on an epic scenario with 4 factions in 1 battle on 2 maps.
