Aux Shields, Grint and Interdictor

By Wulff_Yularen, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

With Taskmaster Grint on an Interdictor suppression refit, I can use 8 engineering points. Please let me know if the following is legal:

1. Move 1 shield to the left and the right hull zones from the rear hull zone (2 points)

2. Gain 1 shield in the left and right hull zones, capping it at 4 shields (4 points)

3. Gain one shield in the rear (2 points)

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but this is not legal. Auxiliary Shields Team allows your left and right hull zone shields to be increased by one (when recovering or moving shields), so the maximum for the Interdictor would be three.

So to use another example, a Nebulon support could not use AST to add 1 shield in it's left hull zone over the course of 3 rounds, to increase it's left shields to 4?

Nope. 2 shields max for Nebs.

I also thought it worked the way you thought when I first played it in a game. I saw the "max 4 shields" but missed that you can only increase by 1. My opponent pointed out what I missed.

However, Vanguard is great for a Neb with AST because it gives you a redirect.

Thanks for the reply. I see now that it is the maximum shield "value" that is limited when you resolve engineering.

Yup you guys got it fiqured out. I made the same mistake when I first played with it as well.
