What is the range of the Celestial Order Shooting Star spell? In contrast to other ranged spells that deal damage, nothing is stated on the card and I could not find any mention of a standard or default spell range in the rules…

as the card is, there is no range limit. until someone says otherwise it seems safe to assume that the target must be within line of sight. you could also rule that extreme range is the default limit for ranged spells w/o printed range limits. there are spells like curse, i think, that ignore range and can ignore line of sight as long as you have a fetish (voodoo doll) of the target.

it just seems to me that this is the advantage of shooting a star out of your hand, it can hit from any range. cool.

yes, indeed – I think this extremely long range (I would agree that a line of sight is needed, even if provided by mirrors) can also be used to very nice effects story-wise. A star appearing out of the blue, hitting someone in the middle of a crowd: quite miraculous!
