Inorganic Modification

By Sharnadale, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

Hi, just a few of questions about the inorganic modification spell from the Book of Creation.

First of all, do you need to make an aimed shot to hit armor or weapons? If so what's the penalty to hit each?

Second, does the weapon or armor get some kind of saving throw to resist the change?

And third, if the item's indestructable can it still be altered?

Any help on this would be greatly apreciated.

hope i can answer as best i can :) .

1) if the armor or weapon in question is immobile, then just projection to make sure you can actually reach it with the spell (null if you are actually touching it in this case). Or, if the weapon/armor is on an opponent (much more likely), then they can make a defense against the spell (your projection) at a -80 if they cannot see magic (spiritual spell, so you will probably make it invisible), if you achieve 10% damage on the ENErgy table then you are able to modify the armor /weapon.

2) no. balance for the spell is the presence limit and added effects.

3) indestructable how? artifact indestructable? probably ask your GM hehe, but i'd say it shouldn't be altered : /

It's an artifact weapon. It's unbreakable, can hit energy beings, and requires 1 more minimum strength to weild due to it's weight (It's a solid metal two-handed axe).

Thanks for the advice. The rulebook could have explained a few things a lot more clearly, but we're slowly getting through it.

I have a totally different answer :

it's a effect type spell, so no mystic projection is necessary, it will take effect as long as the target is an "inorganic object" as the spell describes, as long as it is of "similar spiritual power", which is ... vague. But the very important thing is the affectable presence : 20 +5/add, with maximum Intelligence x 10, so most likely no more than 150 in most cases, which will be 20 + 45 thus a 65 Presence item. Of course if it's artifact if will have very high Presence so the spell will do nothing, so it depends on how it could have been "indetructible" anyway, if it's a very rare and perhaps mystic material, it will most likely have very high Presence, so better find another spell.
