The beauty of playing droids, is that each save on a white die is like a fun little suprise, while blanks on red dice just feel wrong. As luck would have it, when I roll red dice, they fail me more often than not.

I think everyone had built up the math on a red defense die to be the same math as a red attack die. They aren't...... A red defense die is one die face better than a white surge.

So if you're rolling 5 red defense only blocking 2 or 3 is on par

Doesn't make it hurt any less when Sabine takes 3 damage from one squad of Shoretroopers XP

Well that's a different boat entirely as she has red surge and a shield

I do think that there is a lot of group think on the discord. And since the only big tournament we have right now to go off of is TTS invader league the preferences and playstyle of a relatively small number of people is going to seem to have an outsize effect on what The Meta is.

The Math is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.

This keeps surprising me too. Clones and Empire are 4+, Rebels 5+ and B1Ā“s 6+. Yet thereĀ“s a massive groupthink going on saying the first two are Terminators whilst Rebels are running around in flimsy shirts. Not so.

I could even argue that much of the killing going on in the game is by various Commanders and Ops that have Pierce. Contrary to Corps killing stuff. Thus would it be a bad investment to bet on armour.

Yeah group think in legion imo is a problem.

It was in Armada a well

Well when they play with half rules, that does make a difference...

That's what I thought. I wonder how they'll tie it all together (I don't read the books or comics). I'll watch the series if they ever get to finish filming it.

Hopefully, they'll make some sense out of the Cassian character. The one thing I didn't like about Rogue One (besides there were about 2-3 too many call backs to the orignal Star Wars movie that didn't make sense) was that Cassian character was really lackluster. You didn't like him, you didn't see his motivation, and you really didn't care whether he lived or died. The best thing about Cassian, was K2-S0. Hopefully, they'll build up to when he gets K2 (not the first episode)

There are a lot of "you" statements in this post that make more sense as "I" statements.

Unless you're telepathic of course, and actually can tell other people how they feel about a character.

TTS uses units that donā€™t have RRG entries and donā€™t have full awareness of points costs or upgrade capabilities. Incomplete input will skew the output.

For instance, here is a thought. What if ARCs with the sniper is 53 points? Sure this is likely only a three point overall increase in lists, but that changes every bid for games in which three units were used. Three points can absolutely be the difference between red or blue player. We donā€™t wonā€™t know until a full release happens.

That's why I love how X-wing 2.0 spoilers gives power-gamers absolutely NO idea how to proxy the new stuff and play the S out of it in simulators so to shape the "next" meta to their liking.

Those "proxy-mode-on" tournaments were some of the bigger cancer / turnoff of 1.0 it that game, where people waiting around for the ships to actually appear on the table felt left out of the fun of discovering how it plays, what's it good with and where it fails.

Being a veteran X-wing player very pleased with 2.0 upgrade, the longer I stick around Legion the more traumatizing flashbacks I experience.

On another note, Padme kinda seems to be modeled after her Clone Wars 3D model? Looking at which I could never help but wonder how could Anakin ever fall in love with her...

Because he saw her on film first and not the CG model? :)

The REAL question is how did she ever fall in love with a creepy, whiny ā€œI hate sandā€ kid with the worst lines ever.

This is just one of the major failings if the prequel movies. I never believed they were in love or had romantic feelings for each other. Maybe some sort of traumatic psychological connection created from their shared experiences if childhood, but no romance. The other failing of the prequels was Anakin's fall. It happened in essentially 10 minutes of screen time. I also never believed anakin and Obiwan were friends. There were a lot of major problems with those movies. There were a couple of good fight scenes, some really confusing side scenes and characters and several major plots that were "told" to us but never acted out on screen.

"You" as in the viewer of the movie

They never show them being friends, they just "tell" us they are friends with the awkward "banter" in the elevator scene. Honestly I think it's one of the major failings of the prequels. I think it would have been much better if the Episode 1 that we got was them as master and apprentice gallivanting about the galaxy.

yes, or acting like friends or competitors. You get a little bit more of that in the CW cartoon series. I always thought that if Padme was attracted to Obiwan, then I could see Anakin and him having a falling out due to jealousy, real or imagined. It would be predictable but more believeable.

Completely agree with what you're saying about the proxy meta. I must admit though that I have proxied the gar atrt. Though to me that is less of a deal as we have the model and we know the cards.

ATRT's are a completely different animal. We have the models and all of the card information. There are no hidden upgrades or unknown costs. STAPs are close other than the fact that we don't have the proper height dimensions, but I'd be fine with someone using Droideka's to proxy even though they are likely to be shorter by less than an inch. Meanwhile, ARC/BX are missing massive pieces of information, and folks reacting as though that's not the case.

Only thing missing at this point is the BX saboteur, Fives, and Echo. We know everything else, and with what we do know they're doing excellent.

Oh sweet, you've seen the new RRG that contains all the relevant rules changes that might come about with these units? Please do share!
