Vital Assets Bomb Assembly

By Crawfskeezen, in Star Wars: Legion

For those that have gotten their Vital Assets, how are you setting up your bombs with the bases?

The set comes with 6 Bombs, all of which are necessary for Bombing Run, but then for Payload the idea is that at least 1 Bomb should be on each of the Bomb Carts right?

I'm a sucker for a thematic battle so I'm trying to figure out the best way to set up us the bomb so I don't end up having a Bomb on a base on top of a Bomb Cart which is also on a base.

My other thought is to maybe use some magnets.

Poster putty can also work. I haven't looked too closely at the bombs yet to see how well magnets would recess.

Magnets are definitely the way to go.

I put magnets in the bombs, crates, bases, and two parts of each repulsor pallet, so I can easily swap the bombs between the bases and pallets. Also, so the bombs and crates don't constantly fall off the pallets. (I learned that lesson from the Occupier Tank's kyber crates.)

I put magnets in the bottom of the base and in the cart like mwntioned above. Works alright.

Do you get cover from the cart? I can't remember.

Or you could buy 2 packs

I magnetized them as well ( https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsailormeni.wordpress.com%2F2020%2F06%2F05%2Fstar-wars-legion-vital-assets%2F&sandbox=1 ).

And I highly recommend also magnetizing the cart to the base because with the cart overlapping the base it's hard to put the tool into the notches

Yea so what you have there is more or less what I'm trying to avoid. Bases on your bombs on top of the carts isn't what I want.

I've been wondering about this as well. I've thought about magnatizing them but the bomb cart seems a little thin to drill theough and hold magnets securely. Would have been nice if ffg had imcluded the extra 4 bombs the bomb cart requires. I guess that second vital assets box I bought will end up not being a mistake after all.

You could always put pieces of "flexible steel" on the cart for the magnets to hold to. No drilling required, just glue the piece on and the magnet in the bombs/crates will hold then on.

For anyone thinking about magnetizing the bombs and cart, here is what I found:

The cart is extremely easy to magnetize. It comes in a top and bottom piece, and a 2mm thick magnet fits between the two parts with no issues.

The bombs are not as easy. I have 6mm diameter magnets, and that is too big to fit inside the bomb without modifying it as pictured below:

Edit: as a side note, I seem to be unable to insert images from URLs (luckily the image was small enough that I could just attach it). The dialogue box just flashes red when I try to add the image URL. Anyone encountered that before?

How does your solution cover all permutations? Each side can resupply from any of the 6 boxes so you can't assign blur/red colors to 3 boxes. Are you using orientation of the Box to represent whether or not it's tapped once or twice?

Exactly. The bases are marked with a II in blue and red opposite to each other. Rotate it 90 degrees and you see a I in blue/red.
