Warning serious spoilers for the Call of Cthulhu RPG

hi all, when my comp died last month I lost all the material I had created for my Masks expansion. i wanted to see if there was enough interest out there for me to spend the time to recreate the whole thing or to make a 'small box' version. here's what I had created

New Ancient One: Nyarlathotep The Crawling Chaos

Herald version of Nyar as well in case players would rather have him pave the way for the return of the Outer Gods

A new expansion board: World map with locations in New York, London, Egypt, Kenya, and China, and two new exotic locales, the Bent Pyramid Throne Room and Cavern of the Black Sphinx

A new type of Herald Card, the Cult Leader. This was a Herald that only came into play if certain Mythos cards were drawn. M'weru, Omar Shakti, Edward Gavigan, Mukanga, Ho Fung, and Robert Huston. Each one was the head of a particular evil cult. Their game effects were to spawn a bunch of followers of the appropriate cult in the region were the cult was based as well as a special monster that would respawn as long as the herald was in play. Also, if the cult is left alone, they add to the doom track. Eliminating all of the Cult Leader's followers causes the leader to be discarded. You can only have one in play at a time, and each cult leader can only appear once.

A ton of Allies including a member of the Great Race

Several potent new items including the Twin Scepters and a new mission

A bunch of new Mask Monsters, the special monsters which correspond with particular cult leaders, 6 followers of each cult (each counts as a cultist for AO effects)

4 New Spells

The only things I hadn't made yet were Mythos cards, Location Encounters, Other World Encounter cards I think, the stuff that would take the longest :)

If anyone is familiar with the campaign and has ideas on other card possibilities or would like a complete card list, let me know. Would like to know what everyone thinks, mainly about the cult leaders

Sanity is a major focus of this expansion: lots of sanity losses, but opportunities for big gains as well like from defeating certain Mask monsters or the Cult Leaders.

Dude, any way you want to build it, we'll take it. That said, I love fan made board expansions, so count my vote for the big version.

Does the first Cult Leader provide clues to where the next Cult Leader will appear?

It might be cool if several Cult Leaders could be in play. One prepares the way for the other. You might have a mini-Cult Leader Star Configuration (what not) Deck, showing the ill effect of what happens when cult leaders join forces to unleash forbidden powers.

This might not be in the scope of you idea, but perhaps certain location events, might open up exotic rare locations from Lovecraft's tales, such as the ruins under Australia.

I rather like the idea of a macro-game playing out around the core story mini-game in Arkham. It seems whatever is going on in the greater world flows back to Arkham one way or the other, and amplifies the base game.
