Clone Wars and Capital Ships

The entire dilemma is a matter of gameplay being an unrealistic representation of what really happens.

You fire a turbolaser at a Star Destroyer, it doesn't get through the armour, therefore it does absolutely nothing at all.

Except armour isn't a number on a statblock, it's a physical part of that Star Destroyer that can be damaged and destroyed, and "nothing" here means "merely damaged the armour a bit".

And if one turbolaser does "absolutely nothing at all", then two dozen will also do absolutely nothing at all", because that's just basic math. Except when one turbolaser merely means some damage to the armour, two dozen turbolasers mean "Boom, no more Star Destroyer" if you can keep the barrage up long enough.

Exactly.

Not that powerful.

Powerful enough that two separate factions arose from their ashes after Return of the Jedi to mess with the Republic. Also their ability to fabricate ships is understated, Droid manufacturing can put out a large number of ships in record time. It mentions somewhere that the Malevolence had somewhere like 6 or 7 sister ships in her class alone.

That isn't the question.

A Lucrehulk cannot destroy a SUPER STAR DESTROYER in one salvo.

Number of ships, speed of ships, power of faction are all irrelevant.

Maybe not a Super Star Destroyer in a single Salvo, but an Imperial class is going to have a few problems with one. Not mention the fighter compliments are insane for the later eras.

Maybe, but the Starfighters are not point of this discussion.
And regarding Firepower of the Lucrehold, that's exactly the core of the Problem I have with Concentrated Barrage, if used per RAW the Lucrehold can use 100 Twin Heavy Laser Cannons to severely damage an ISD (It still wont onehit destroy it), where a normal attack using 100 Twin Heavy Laser Cannons seperately would have no chance in **** to do significant damage (a normal attack with Twin Heavy Laser Cannons would require 6 remaining successes to deal 1 Damage past the Armor of an ISD.....).

And regarding the argument that all these hit would be located in a relatively small area, that is incredibly unlikely factoring in the sheer size of the Lucrehold and how stretched out these 100 Weapon Emplacements would be.

The Lucrehold could still pretty badly maul an ISD using Concentrated Barrage with it's Turbolaser Batteries though, there I'd see not Problem since a since Turbolaser already easily pierces through the ISD's Armor Plating.

In the end I guess it's a subjective thing and each Group might handle it differently (and with good reason).
It would be interesting if a Hail of Fire like that could still do some damage, like a stray hit to a Turret or Sensor Array etc. (so still dealing some damage, but simply not the ~95 Damage it would cause per RAW, that's just silly in my opinion).

The biggest flaw this system has, IMO, is that it likes to multiply damage. And that's never a good idea if you like even the pretense of having game balance.
