When a non-unique squadron with swarm at distance 1-5
is destroyed
, you may discard this card. If you do, you may set that squadron's hull points to "2" and place that squadron, unengaged, at distance 1 with its activation slider toggled to the activated side.
DESTROYED SHIPS AND SQUADRONS
A ship is destroyed when it has damage cards equaling or
exceeding its hull value.
A squadron is destroyed when
it is reduced to zero hull points.
Additionally, a ship or
squadron is destroyed if a portion of its base is outside the
play area.
• When a squadron is destroyed, remove it from the play
area and place it next to the matching squadron card.
• When a ship is destroyed, remove it from the play area
and place it next to the matching ship card. Discard its
damage cards to the discard pile and return its tokens
and dials to the supply.
• Destroyed ships and squadrons are no longer in play.
All ship and upgrade cards belonging to destroyed ships
are inactive. All squadron cards belonging to destroyed
unique squadrons are inactive. Squadrons cards for
destroyed non-unique squadrons are inactive when the
last non-unique squadron of that type is destroyed.
• When determining if a squadron or ship is outside the
play area, ignore the squadron’s activation slider and the
ship’s shield dials and the plastic portions of the base
that frame the shield dials.

SCORING
Players determine their score at the end of the game.
A player’s score is the total fleet point cost of
destroyed
enemy ships and squadrons
plus the fleet point value of
any victory tokens that the player collected.
• A destroyed ship’s fleet point cost includes the costs of
all upgrade cards equipped to that ship.
• Discarded upgrade cards do not count toward a player’s
score unless they are equipped to a destroyed ship.
• Each victory token is worth the number of fleet points
indicated in the lower-right corner of the objective card
used for that game.

1.) Do you score the destroyed squadron twice if the unit is destroyed twice?
2.) Do you score the destroyed squadron if it is defeated once but not twice?
My thoughts
The card states it's timing as "When ...X...
is destroyed"
this leads me to believe that the unit
is
destroyed and therefore can be scored. The card allowing that unit to be placed back in the play area means that it's hull point
can
be reduced to zero a second time and therefore destroyed a second time.
Any input on this is appreciated! Thanks in advance guys!

To go further:
Essentially, the only way to *mark* a squadron model as Destroyed, is to place it on the Squadron Card. At the end of the game, you count up squadrons that are on their cards, and thus, destroyed.
If it is on the table, it is, by necessity, not destroyed, as there is no other method of tracking wether that squadron is destroyed or not .
STRICT adherence to the Rules, as Written, does indeed provide a solution. Having "Shortcuts" and "Notes", such as fleet lists , are technically illegal, after all 🙂
Yup, Dras hit the nail on the head.
Only models off the play area and next to their ship or squadron cards are what is counted as "destroyed" and thus, scored.
Which is why all destroyed ships / models are removed at the end of the "status phase" and before "end of round" per FAQ.
Edited by KarneckAlso there is not such as destroyed twice, just as there is not engaged twice or activated twice.
Dutch Vander doesn't get extra damage if you "Tallloned" his target, Wedge doesn't get 4 blues, swarm squadrons don't get double reroll and so on.
RHB en masse is really annoying, prevented me from getting 28 points on my score. (Two TIEs and a Jumpmaster came back)
I earned those damnit.

I feel you. At LVO one of my games I ended up losing 5-6 because the only things I destroyed were his three TIE Interceptors that all got brought back. He took out Cienna. That was all. Very boring game.

I've faced RHD three times, and this is how I feel too. I get that they were trying to make generics more viable, but it's annoying and a bit of an NPE when you kill something but don't get points for it. At least with Rieekan you still get the points.
One of those three times was an odd Ackbar list I faced at a Prime that had 6 Z-95s and one copy of RHD. Just one copy of RHD isn't so bad, but three is brutally annoying.

[Laughs In Twin Ion Engine]
I just realized we've been saying "Reserve Hangar Bay" and "RHB," even though the card clearly says Reserve Hangar Deck ...what sheeple we are!
