They try so hard. They really do.

Jedi say that's the problem.
I wish I’d been around back then. It sounds glorious.

Watch out for that medical station!

Ninja'd! I was shaking my head every time they said this during the commentary.

Could you just imagine something like that happening.
I don't need to use my
imagination
to conceive of a Gencon In-Flight Report where FFG does not drop long-expected Armada Release News... I can just use my actual
memory
for that!

So in other words, what I do every single time I play? 😂
Oh, and I can't tell how earnest it is, but I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for Sequel Trilogy Armada as well. I love the new films. Bring it on.
Any predictions on how the Republic and CIS playstyle will compare to the Empire and Rebels? I think that the Republic squadron combinations will be particularly interesting as it can essentially mix and match elements of Imperial and Rebel squadrons. Also curious how Vulture droids will compare to TIE fighters.
If we're just asking for things, I want the Colossus. It's probably the only ship within a ship size.

The Colossus would be a fun ship for sure. Not a ton of firepower, but plenty of hull

They did a good job with Legion. Not sure that's so easy for Armada. Legion units system is very different as they don't only have stats but also skills which add actual rules. Let's say each unit get additional mechanics to play with.
In Armada, each ship is just the same. The only differences are basically the stats. I'm still amazed how different they feel working with a little pool of elements. They get different purposes but any ship could be seen just as an iteration of another. The biggest difference from one ship to another is just the SSD which can delay am activation and performs 3 attacks. Beside that what a ship is capable of and any other isn't comes mainly from the upgrades cards. I don't think the difference between Rebellion and Empire comes exclusively from the upgrade pool, but I don't know if just the stats are gonna be enough for 4 different faction. I trust they can do it though.

My guess would be emphasizing teamwork/coordination for the clones and a way to simulate a central command structure for CIs

This might verge on "breaking" the game, but I'd love for the Colossus to maneuver like a squadron, given its unique shape. Give it a round base with a 360-degree firing arc (and hull zone) and let it maneuver in any direction at its given speed. I think that would be a really interesting mechanic for something that might otherwise not have much of a role.

That made no sense. I can't tell if you are unintelligible or if it's just your writing.
Hmm, looks like they're open to events. I may look into running an alt-format Armada deal on an alternate digital for the occasion.
Edited by AlzerI would also love a single player format for Armada, like they just announced with X-Wing. Wouldn't cost them much, and would hold me over! 🙂

While I agree, I think single player armada is significantly harder to implement than single player xwing, so I'm not holding out much hope.

Agreed. There are just so many decision points in every phase of the game. Determining how many clicks of nav to use and where would be a nightmare alone

I guess it’s just you cannot distinguish one sheep from another. But hey, it’s fun you can ignore me at the same time you address my posts.
I've worked with that a bit. I think the main part would be the "Artificial Opponent" would be really....gameable.

This
No idea about the x-wing single player mode. My fear about a single player mode for Armada, which I’d like anyways, is that it could be really be just a puzzle and I’m not sure how much I would enjoy it.
if you get a system to make the IA make the right choices it’s quite predictable. If you add some kind of randomness it becomes random. That’s the beauty of playing against people: from a pool of options they really choose one, maybe not the best, but even choosing the worst, it is a gamble and something you can talk and laugh about, when it turns out awesome or a completely disaster.
