Well now I'm seriously questioning how the Destroyers were able to put it under siege if it was so close to naval resupply.

Different timeline and different geography. At least FFG kept the inconsistency of the geography of Rokugan consistent (word play very much intended). But my understanding was that this watchtower was up north west of the wall anyway, so coming back would mean passing by Kyuden Hida and eventually the coast.

I'd like to say both that I'm thankful that we got a timely follow up to this story and another peak into the Crab situation.

Also I'd like to deeply thank FFG for continuing to put out fictions throughout the pause. It's a tremendous life line at lease for me to feel like the brand is still alive.
