Hi,

I was playing the other day and i wasn't sure if the forced ability would always discard The pit below oalways or only if the player took the 3 damage. I read forced abilities in the reference rules but I wasn't clear.

If you didn't get an answer before, I believe that whether or not any investigators are at the location at the end of the round, you are forced to discard The Pit Below. Of course, if investigators are there at that time, they each take the damage.
