Scarif Bunker

By Alan Noir, in Terrain Building

Started a Scarif bunker yesterday. Took inspiration from the terrain studio, but increased the depth and added a few tweaks. It's going to be huge on the board, so I wanted to make it playable as possible with height 1 and 2 platforms that can take a unit in cohesion. Just need to add all the panels now and little details. C&C welcome

Nice! Are you planning to use card for the panels? I remember reading an article where a guy (Captain Spud from the Infinity/Corvus Belli forums) used sheets of craft foam, as it provides much better protection from the bumps and dings of tabletop scenery. I haven't had a chance to try the technique on anything yet, though.

I've got thin plastic sheeting of two thicknesses to use, it's good material and very precise. I don't have appropriate glue right now though. I'll see if there's anything in the shed or local shop. Maybe gorilla glue. Hardware stores in Ireland are currently closed but due to open Monday.

Looks like an aerodome for a blimp.

I love it. Do the hanger doors open? You could fit an N1 Naboo fighter, Awing, or one of those gunships from the Mandalorian in there

Thank you. the doors are fixed in place I'm afraid. It is a little bigger than I anticipated. Originally was going to be 2x the drawing, but the marked out version looked too small. I think I went 2.5 x or 3x, cant remember.

Progress is slow and steady. Trying to incorporate as many climeable surfaces as possible, otherwise it'll just be a massive obstacle or eat up actions to climb

Finished now. I got a bit lazy with some weathering and a few sections, so I'll re-do them in time. While it does take up a lot of the board, I designed it to allow free clambers to both height 1 and 2 from either side. It worked out well for gaming purposes. C&C welcome
