Gang up reads, when revealed: the villain and each minion engaged with you attacks you.

My question is, when the villain attacks from gang up and his boost card is goblin thrall (which becomes engaged with me.) does that new goblin thrall also attack, or only the minions engaged when Gang up was revealed?

I would think that he wouldn’t, but I had him anyway just to be safe.
