So just got Jabba's Realm, assembled the Rancor and went to put it back in the box only to notice that it doesn't fit. I suppose I could look for room in the core box but frankly I don't see myself pulling out a Rancor anywhere else. You know like hey your on Hoth, here's a Rancor, don't question it....he's wearing mittens. Or you're in an Imperial base, guess what they were keeping in the closet...Rancor! 🤔

Ergo, Ideally I'd add the components I use all the time to the main box and keep expansion only components in the Jabbas realm box. Does anyone else do that, have you found a good way of keeping the Rancor partially assembled so that he'll come out quickly?

I use a Sterilite 1427 Stack & Carry storage container. All my tiles go in one section and all my minis in the other.

it’s a fantastic organizer. Personally I still don’t store the rancor in there. My daughter painted mine, so I keep it on my desk in my office 😄

Sigh, I'm afraid that's what's going to happen.

I've just got a system for Descent where things go back in their boxes so I don't have to bring a duffel bag to play. I'm hoping to do the same thing with Imperial Assault but Rancor don't fit. Maybe I can find a spinoff of totalnoobs suggestion and use cardboard to prop the boxtop up an inch...I'm so not shelling out $50 for a wood insert.

I store mine in 3 pieces, upper body leg and base. Mine is fully painted as well.

Ha! My daughters "helped" me paint my wampas and a bit on the rancor... I'm such a bad painter (not being humble, I really am) that it doesn't really matter if they stuff it up. No worries!

Yeah, I keep all the big figures "lightly" assembled... so I can take 'em apart (mostly) and put 'em back in the box they came in (or some other box.

I'm trying to picture that? But the only thing I had trouble getting off and on were the arms, so a dissassembly solution that doesn't involve them would be great!

I keep mine in a cave in the basement, and feed him with unwanted visitors via a trapdoor that leads right into the cave.

Core box. Simple and effective.

If you sand the inserts' edges, the arms are much more removeable. They don't fall off but at least you can insert them all the way without showing a gap and the slide in - an - out easier.

I detach my rancor's arms and put them in a 3.5 -4 inch foam with my ATST and ATRT and Bantha (heads and rider come off the vehicles and bantha.

I keep him on a shelf, overlooking the lounge.
