***Recommendations please***

I’d like to start with a question and then seek your recommendations on a rebel fleet build:

Can a fleet of small ships with many activations take out a large fleet with large capital ships?

Over the course of my Armada experience I’ve had little to poor luck with small and even medium sized ships as they are quick to be destroyed. I have resorted to using MC-80, M-75, Liberty and Starhawk with squads. I admittedly suck and am open to your build recommendations and tactic recommendations. I’m considering learning the art of smaller ships and maybe even using this fleet in CC if I find success with it. Thanks in advance for any time on my behalf.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: It depends on the fleet builds / matchup, objective, deployment, and player skill. As a brief example, I came away with a solid victory against Triple Cymoons using a TRC90 MSU; using a CR90B w/ SW-7s MSU vs. a Raddus Bomb, I got shellacked. I prefer running MSUs, but you definitely have to practice your movements and have a plan against both large ships and squadrons.

The CR90 builds are nothing special or unique, just really fun to play and are usually not what people prepare for.

7 x CR90As w/ TRCs (one with Ackbar and Jaina's Light)

or

7 x CR90Bs w/ SW-7s and Engine Techs (with Mon Mothma or Cracken; or get rid of Engine Techs to add two GR-75s w/ Slicer Tools)
