@Reavern If a store is shorted on new product they ordered from the distributor, and the distributor has leftover stock after "fulfilling" all orders, then that problem ISN'T with the manufacturer. I've seen some claims of stores getting a partial restock, while others still are missing part of the initial order. My local store was able to get more Clone wars core sets after the initial release, because they ordered right away. This is SOLELY what I was addressing.
I will agree that the log lag time in reprints IS FFG's fault. I'll even agree that stuff selling out in the first few weeks is the fault of FFG, either directly, or some other choke point in manufacturing/shipping preventing them from producing enough to meet the initial demand, but a store being shorted on an order is the fault of the distributor IF the distributor had the product to supply and didn't.
We've seen distinct evidence of Alliance giving certain stores preferential treatment in the past: Miniature Market shipping the Clone Wars Core well in advance of the approved street date. According to FFG, distributors were supposed to still have the products, not stores.
Despite the latest and greatest NOT being on the shelves, the old stuff IS. Many places you can find Star Wars Legion products in the shelves, but it isn't the Clone Wars stuff, it's Leia, Veers, Snowtroopers, Rebel Commandos, etc. Word of mouth will also spread it, not to mention the internet. Review sites, wargaming blogs, friends, etc. Without looking for it, you can still find it.
