Cad Bane Leaks

After seeing his cards, I am completely fine with him. He seems to work like Dooku to me, a scalpel used for precision strikes, as opposed to the smash 'em up style of Grievous. The thing about Cad is that he can essentially position himself anywhere on the board that he wants to go, which is huge. He is going to wreck your opponents plans on missions like Moisture Vaps or Recover the Supplies because his tokens can force them to over commit in order to defend against him. His positioning abilities also allow to him to position defensively, so that his is on a weak flank using cover.

I'm hoping that he can pop out of his token without the help of the enemy. Would really add a lot of options especially with that 3 pip as a grab an objective and teleport back.

My guess is that the auto reveal is for the bomb and fake tokens and we have not seen Bane's rules.

I'm just saying with his unreliable defensive abilities, and the fact that his offense is predicated on a good roll

I would agree he may have bad defense, but it would depend oh how much control he has over his token. If he can pop out at will close with his 1 pip it will be brutal. Throw duck and cover with danger, uncanny luck, and the fear of him using that 2 pip next tuenmay keep him safe for a turn and improve his impact.

I would like a 115-130 pt CIS commander though before I run him full time. There's lots of fun toys in CIS but even with cheapy B1s its not optimal to run a bunch of characters like you can do with Rebels.

100% agree here. Feel like they really are screwing Bane over until he get a cheap commander to run with him, but maybe FFG knows what they are doing.

You can. At the start of every turn any player may reveal and resolve a friendly "Here I am" token.

I was just about to say the same 😁

Meh, Cad had plot armor out the wazoo to survive not one, but many encounters with Force users. (Him, Hondo, and Grievous) His episodes always evinced much eye rolling.

You could say the same of most of the Jedi in all of the SW media.

We saw how easily they died in AotC and RotS. Frankly, once they landed on the planet, i never understood why the separatists didn't just blow them up from orbit.

I get the distinct impression that most of the SW universe doesn’t take high speed projectiles or explosives into consideration in their planning.

I've been re-watching The Clone Wars series, for reasons , and was recently reminded of how badass Cad Bane's character was. I can't wait for his Legion Expansion! I sincerely hope it doesn't get delayed from July.

It would also be awesome if Cad Bane made an appearance in The Mandalorian. It could happen, because he was a character created by Dave Filloni and he's a fan fave villain. Cad Bane would be formidable opponent for Mando.

He's dead. Boba killed him in a duel.

Of course Boba was killed as well and he has an appearance coming up in the second season of The Mandalorian, so anything is possible

Boba wasn't killed in the old canon, not sure why the new canon should be different. The sarlaac doesn't kill immediately, and he was alive going in...

When did that happen? 🤨

Is it canon or Legends?

I checked Wookieepedia and I couldn't find a reference to Cad Bane being dead, or Boba Fett killing him. The last entry on Cad Bane's Legends page is:

Quote

Although Bane worked with Boba Fett on another occasion,[80] Fett came to be his closest rival in the bounty hunting trade.[15]

Well he was killed in RotJ, then Lucas figured out he could sell more action figures, books, etc and let him be brought back to life.

Dave Filoni released a WIP of a duel between Cad Bane and Boba Fett where Boba gets his dent in his helmet and Cad never gets up. I guess its all speculation since nobody seems to stay dead. The emperor never died even after getting thrown down a shaft and exploding in the DSII. Darth Vader probably never dies either, Luke just burned his suit to throw the bounty hunters off the scent. The force ghosts look a lot like Leia's hologram call for help

Again, we don't actually see him die in RotJ. Unlike Jango who is beheaded...
It's a fairly standard trope in movies, books, etc. Unless the character is shown to have died (and sometimes not even then) they could always be alive.

I know a lot of people were really unhappy about this announcement, but a friend of mine stopped me when we were talking about it and said, "Josh, wait. Just think about it. The Mando runs into Fett. Recognizes who he is and kills him stone dead for wearing mandalorian armor he has no claim to. Then reclaims it to make his own armor. "

I got a solid chuckle out of it.

Personally I'm not a Boba Fett fan. I don't get the hype. He had like 3 lines and one of them was

"AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh"

To be fair, Darth Maul has all of about two lines in the movies as well, and one of them is "Ugh!". He's still a great character in the extended materials. To that end, I'm willing to see where they go with Boba's story/character (if the rumors be true), despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of his either.

Yeah, I suppose the difference is Boba never had a kick ***, carefully choreographed, fight scene that presented actual danger to the protagonists.

Let's be real Boba Fett was there to stand around and look mean.

He can stay dead for all I care. lol

Boba Fett was sort of an object lesson in hype, so much that what Phasma finally appeared in The Force Awaken I heard someone ask, "Did they just Boba Fett Phasma?" In the Xmas special, Empire Strikes back, and any hype in between we kept hearing he was gonna be awesome. Then we got, well this. All the hints at back story and badassatude and we got a three stooges death. But until that day we expected sooo much more.

If stormtroopers wore jetpacks, this is exactly how a stormtrooper with a jetpack wild die

They do in Imperial Assault and also in the REBELS tv show. I can't wait for them to show up in Legion as a unit of 4.

I know, but it doesn't make my point any less true lol

I mean, the only one we don't already know everything about is the 2-pip.

That's awfully optimistic at this point. Weren't Iden, Cassian, AAT, and Vital assets supposed to come out in May?

Yea. I know some people all ready got theres. I have my AAT and vital assets all ready cause I preordered them through my FLGS and they were able to get enough in back at the beginning of May at least enough to fulfill all their preorders.
