Hmm...so the TIE/rb is the only Imperial TIE on the horizon. And it's the really lame one...
But, it was a movie TIE, so I can't say it's unexpected.
Nothing else of interest to me.

I actually quite like the idea of an Imp Scyk. Hull instead of shield ofc. All glory.
The things you can support with Ion/Blaster Scyks there..... rubs hands together.

Honestly, don't worry about it. Cloaked ships can't deal damage, and 2 agility doesn't matter that much.

It's actually not that bad. You end up spending so much assembling the combo that you don't have enough points left over to actually do anything with it.
But if Resistance ever got a ship designed to cloak, making it so we didn't have to worry about the extensive opportunity costs, we might be in trouble.

Fair. I was more thinking about the potential of cloaking Poe on the way in, for some insane movement shenanigans in the first engagement, but I always forget that Poe is not the list killing demon he was in 1e.

The Imperial faction has - let me count... - eleven TIE models already, soon to be 12. Yeeeeeeeah, I think you guys are fine in the TIE department.

There is no such thing as enough TIEs.
O TIE Avenger, TIE Hunter and TIE [Command] Shuttle, where art thou?
I am still hoping for a Tie shuttle...as seen in Empire Strikes Back.

The Tie shuttle looks awesome. I also love the looks of the Tie Avenger...with the round cockpit, not the squareish oval one from the Tie Fighter video game.

Not until EVERYONE IS HERE!
I'm still missing the Hunter, the Oppressor and the Avenger.

The Hunter doesn't deserve it. Just a poor man's TIE Defender.
Avenger is functionally identical to the X1.
The TIE Oppressor, while ugly, is at least unique. I would like to see it.

Gonna have to go with this unless someone can convince me how they could make the Hunter and Avenger not just feel like a TIE Defender or a better Advance.

I flew alongside these things, all of them. I think I can make these calls!

Most impressive.

I'd love to see the Avenger model (although considering it's not all that different from the Silencer's model, and the Silencer was given a pilot called "Avenger" I think it's probably unlikely now unless we see it in a future Disney release).
An alternative model for the TIE Advance may be the best we could hope for.
Buy a TIE Advanced x1. Use scissors to cut some pieces off the panels. Voila - there is your alternative model Avenger.

Stumpy-winged version, sure.
But if we're talking home conversions and you want a more authentic, sleeker profile, you're better off repainting a Silencer in Imperial blue/grey.

You mean, the TIE (Interceptor) Whisper:

All I know is from Wookieepedia.
TIE Hunter is silly looking, but it appears to have S-Foils. Now, I think there's room for an S-Foils TIE. Something like a 3/3/3/1, with essentially the dial of a standard TIE fighter, on a single action with S-Foils open and missing one of the movement actions, but with linked actions with S-Foils closed at the cost of an attack die. Imperial X-Wing. That's kinda dull, but functional and likely feels a bit different from other Imperial options.
TIE Avenger I'd explore something similar to the design space of the Belbullab: great linked actions, weak blues. No hard turns, only the banks. Perhaps essentially the dial of the N-1, with speed 2 and 3 bank and straight blues, for a fast feel, and no hard 1s (this is an /x1 variant, essentially... having a 1-straight but no hard 1s seems appropriate). Maybe the good actions are just Roll and Boost linking into Focus, maybe that's a "Lateral Thrusters" where you can do a red barrel roll after any action. Unfortunately, the thing probably has the same basic statline of 3/3/3/1 as the Hunter probably would have, but giving it 2 dice and an Advanced Targeting Computer like an /x1 would be dull.
Oppressor sure is ugly. What I read is that it's a "Fast Tough Bomber" which is kind of interesting. Something like a 2/2/5/2 statline, a fairly good fast dial (something kind of like a Lancer, with Blue Hard 3s?) with boost and roll linked to Lock, two missile slots, two bomb slots?

The authentic version doesn't really has Silencer vibes. If you want fantasy homebuilds then you can do whatever you want 😉

Totally incorrect, as proven by the simple fact that you talk about physically altering the Advanced model by cutting the wing panels. And of course, the Avenger's cockpit profile in the X-Wing games is much, much closer to the Silencer than it is to any other TIE variant.
But of course, you can hold whatever opinion you want. Just don't expect people to agree with it 😉
